Training was difficult, Will wasn't lying, but every part of me loved it. The burn, the sensation of getting stronger. I was home even when no one welcomed me to it. I let myself in without permission and I was kicking ass.
"The girl, you will fight James today." Will yells out to the team. I walk over to the fighting mat in the middle of the room and James comes opposite from me.
"It's our first day, Capt. You want us to fight?" James asked doubtingly. Will marched over to him and stopped centimeters before James's nose starts.
"Are you questioning me soldier?" He yells with a considerable amount of spit landing on James's face.
"No sir!" He yells back and proceeds to the mat where I am. Will stands between us, explaining the rules.
"We will fight until one can not continue, do you understand? No tapping out. I a real fight with the enemy, one does not tap out. Play nice and No mercy." He looks at James and he nods. No mercy will be brought upon me and I am fine with it. I asked for it and Will is giving it to me on a silver platter, or a sweaty, old gym mat.
"Fight!" He screams and backs off to the corner of the mat.
James looks at me with the intensity of a shark. We bounce around the mat a little wondering who will have the nerve to throw the first punch. He comes at me and I duck, spinning behind him and kicking his back to the floor. He comes back up and punches me in the face, I try to block but he got me. I could instantly feel swelling, but I couldn't stop. I punched him the neck which he mostly deflected, and returns with another devastating blow to my head. I kick him the side, and as I go down I elbow him in the back, attempting to worsen the injury. He crawls back up and I kick him, this time he is fast and grabs my foot and twists, I cry in pain. He pushes my foot, causing my whole body to fall to the floor with extreme pain. I slowly try to get up and he kicks me in the side.
"Finish her!" I hear Will scream. Its nice to know the guy isn't biased.
He kicks me again and I fall to the floor. He looks up and raises his fists in the air, attempting to signal is victory. I can not go down like this. I jump on his back and put him in a lock and then whip him to the ground. He gasps for air as I kick him on the stomach repeatedly. I feel strong hands pull me up and drag me to the side. One of the guys, I forgot his name. He looks at me with wild eyes.
"Holy shit, your an animal." He gasps. I nod in agreement and survey what I just did. Will was kneeling next to a bloody James, who also had tears rolling down his face. I am loving this.
"Mrs. Ringman, come here now!" Will yelled. Everyone looked at me as I walked over to Will.
He stands up. "Can you explain what you just did please?" He grits his teeth at me.
"You said no mercy sir!" I said looking away from him, avoiding eye contact.
"Look at me when I am talking to you soldier!" He yelled next to my ear.
I smiled and asked. "You didn't think I could do it, did Capt.? You tried to break me on my first day. Nice try but I am stronger than you think Will. I am here for a reason."
He scowled at me and made James get up and leave for the day. He would have no trouble keeping the secret of my presence, and if he did, I knew his weak points. Will turns to the rest of the group and told them to continue with their training.
"Watch your back Ringman. None of these guys like seeing their friends get beat up by a girl." Will said to me, while wiping up blood on the mat.
"Do I get a good job?" I asked him jokingly. He looked up at me and shook his head.
