I can feel the jet descend to the ground and I look at Jake. He gives me a reassuring smile as the platform lowers and the sunlight blinds the soldiers. I turn to Irene and she looks straight outside, with no expression in her eyes. I grab her cuffs and she stands up. I walk behind her as we exit the plane. She turns to me before entering the main building.

"I don't want you to risk anything for me." She says.

"Tough shit. I'm not letting you die." I say and push her towards the door and Jake opens it for us. I make my way through the headquarters and finally we enter an interrogation room. I set her down at the chair and I turn to Jake.

"I'm going to look for Will." I tell him and he nods.

"Who's Will?" Irene asks. Jake and I both turn to her. I look at Jake and he shakes his head.

"You're going to be okay." I tell her and walk out the door.

I walk through the halls quickly and I turn when I hear someone call my name. My mother stands away from me but then starts to walk. She hugs me and then breaks away with tears in her eyes.

"I am so glad your okay." She says and I smile.

"Me too." I say.

"Did you get my letter?" She asks.

"Of course I did." I say and then I squeeze her hand. "Daddy loved you so much."

My mom nodded and new tears spread down her cheeks.

"And I love you." She says and pulls me into another hug.

JAKE'S POV

I sit on the opposite chair, and sighed. I took of my weapon belt and set on the metal desk in front of me. Irene stares at the floor blankly and I clear my throat. She looks up at me and I offer a smile.

"What the hell's wrong with you?" She asks.

"What do you mean?" I ask innocently.

"Your stupid synthetic smile." She explains.

"I don't know, trying to offer some comfort." I say and she smirks.

"Oh how sweet of you."

"Just trying to be helpful." I say in a hurt tone. She sighs and twiddles her thumbs.

"Yeah sorry. Just under a little stress." She apologizes.

"I bet." I say and she smiles.

"Alex is going to try to save me, isn't she?" She says knowingly.

"No," I shake my head and her face turns in surprise. "She is going to save you. Because that's who she is."

"Your lucky to have her." Irene says and I smirk.

"When I have her." I correct and she laughs.

"Exactly."

ALEX'S POV

I knocked on the half open door of Will's office. I hear a mumbled come in and I slipped through the opening. Will had his back facing me, sitting in a chair. The room was mostly dark except for a blinding reading light in the corner, next to the desk.

He swivels his office chair to face me. Once he identifies my face he gets up and buries me in hug. I barely can breathe but I welcome the touch.

"When did you get back?" He asked me as he loosens his grip on me. I pull away and I smile.

"Not too long ago." I say and then remember when I am here.

"How was your vacation?" He jokes and I give him a sad smile.
