I walked over to the bathroom, and looked in the mirror. The bandage was gone, so I saw a big scar. It was probably permanent, and I felt ugly. I took my clothes off, and took a shower. I felt much more like a proper human.

I found Newt taking a little nap on his bed. I laid next to him, closing my eyes. Newt moaned, 'Hey.'

'Hey. Sorry I woke you up.'

'It's okay, how are you feeling?'

'I took a shower which felt really good, it's just that... my scar will probably stay there, always reminding me of what had happend. Plus, it's ugly.' I opened my eyes and looked over at him.

He was glancing at me, and said 'You're still beautiful.'

'I don't know about that...'

He sat up, facing me, and said 'Do you really think I care about a bloody scar?'

'No...'

He took my face in his hands, and gave me a kiss on the lips. 'Good that.' He still had a little bandage around his right hand.

The Gladers lit some kind of wooden statue on fire. Everyone was happy and Newt, Thomas and I sat down on the ground, facing the East door. Newt told Thomas a couple of things about the Glade, and the maze.
Chuck had already told him it was a maze. He wasn't good in keeping secrets.

Thomas walked away after a while, he was going to Chuck or something.

Newt took my hand and we walked towards the fire. Even though everyone could see us, he kissed me. I felt so happy and warm from the inside. The hole had completly shut.

'Ooooh' and 'Aaah's and 'Look at them.' But we didn't care. When we were together, nothing else mattered.

The rest of the night was fun; having fun with friends and Newt ofcource. It was a night to remember. Plus, Thomas had remembered his name this night, which was a positive thing.

Newt and I went to bed early, because I still had to take it easy. I still had to rest, even though I hated it. I wanted to do something useful, be in the maze, trying to find a way out.
