Shoaib's pov

After that day, I became someone else.

My heart keeps falling for her again and again. Her pregnancy glow only adds to her beauty.

I want to change everything. I want to be a good husband to her and a good father to my child.

Yes, because after hearing about Danial’s critical condition and Danish’s pain, I realized the value of a wife and child.

Okay, our case is totally different from theirs—but still, somewhere in my heart, caught between denial and acceptance,
I’ve come to accept that I’ve fallen in love with her.

I did my best to mend things between us, but her cold responses and distant behavior are getting on my nerves.

I was honestly happy when my baby sister had a miscarriage.
Yes, I was happy—because I couldn’t bear seeing my princess carrying that bastard’s child.

The mere thought of him doing those husbandly things with her makes my blood run cold.

I really wanted to free Rubab from him. I can’t bear him near her.
And ironically, he impregnated her—just like I did with his sister.

Did he also force my princess, or trap her in a web of deceit?

Taking a deep breath, I packed my things and made a decision:
I would never let Shreya marry Danish.

I know Danish isn’t accepting reality, but Dishaan Bhai told me everything.

Danial might never wake up again—or worse, she could die.
And if Dani dies, I will take care of Danish’s son.

Taniya and I can become his parents. But I will never allow Shreya to take advantage of the situation and marry Danish.

When I reached home, I was met with Taniya’s tired face.

She’s been facing constant back pain and loss of appetite lately.

Today, one of my colleagues was coming over to work late—we needed to complete the project before the submission date.

After eating in eerie silence, I tried to initiate a conversation.

“Taniya, today…” Before I could finish, the doorbell rang.

“I’ll check,” I said, getting up from the sofa, while she sat with a weary face.

Opening the door, my eyes met my colleague—Lucy.

“Hey Shoaib,” she said, pronouncing my name with a little difficulty, but it was okay.

I frowned at seeing only her—and not David.

“Where’s David?” I asked.

“Oh, his wife is in labor, so I came instead,” she said, walking inside.

“Taniya, this is Lucy,” I introduced her.

She just gave a faint smile while looking at Lucy.

“Would you like something to eat?” I asked.

“No, thanks… We should get to the work,” she said, removing her shrug.

Taniya stared at her, then turned her focus back to the TV that was playing some old Bollywood movie.

“Taniya… can you—” Before I finished, she cut me off.

“I’ll sleep after sometime, Take care of your work,” she said, smiling at Lucy.

Sensing the rising tension, I didn’t bother clarifying.
Maybe, just maybe, seeing me with another woman might awaken something in her heart.

Yup, she’ll definitely feel something. She’ll start accepting this marriage.
After all, being an Asian, typical Afghani girl—she can’t stand seeing her husband with another woman.
