Taniya's pov
Things are healing between us—me and Shoaib.
Dawood plays a vital role in our once-broken relationship.
Shoaib no longer touches my body without permission.
He's such a family man around his family. The twins are head over heels for their Shoaib Chachu—they love him endlessly.
Then what made him become a monster in my life?
Just because Taha Bhai loves Rubab Bhabhi?
I don’t think so.
Love can never turn someone into a monster.
Even though he himself saw how happy Bhai and Bhabhi are, expecting their second child…
Yes—Bhabhi is several months pregnant. And after all those painful miscarriages, Bhai finally planned to take her for Umrah. He took her there—holding five-year-old Bakhtiyar in his arms, with their unborn child safe in Bhabhi’s womb.
I couldn’t be happier. Finally, my brother is being blessed with a complete family.
I no longer take contraceptives. Because in these past years, which felt like a blink…
So much has changed.
Shoaib hasn’t forced intimacy.
Danish Bhai is healing.
Afshan has started helping Dishaan Khalu at work.
Khirat Mom’s health is declining, but she’s happy seeing her son finally stepping into life again.
Yes… time flies. It really does.
My baby—my soul—is now eight years old.
It’s his eighth birthday today.
The whole Malik Mansion is glowing like a new bride.
Although his condition isn’t perfect—he’s still different from other children—but to me, he is my world.
His tiny fingers hold the plastic knife, with Danish Bhai’s hand over his.
We all stand in a circle, waiting for our champ to cut the cake.
Only family members are here.
Shahjahan Maa doesn’t want Dawood’s health to become public—anyone could use him against us. Especially Daneen Phupho and… Shahjahan Maa herself.
Danish Bhai was about to cut the cake with Dawood, but his words made us all laugh.
“Bade ba…ba… it’s my bddy,” he said with a pout, looking up at him sadly.
It’s the first time we’re celebrating his birthday in Danish Bhai’s presence.
And my baby… he calls Shoaib Baba, and me Tani Maa.
“Why are you sad, bachha?” Anam Khala asked, cupping his face.
“I… I want to cut this mota hathi with Tani Maa,” he said, pouting.
I smiled warmly. My baby…
“Canım benim,” she said gently, “you always cut cake with Tani Maa. Let Bade Baba cut the cake with you this time.” She caressed his cheek.
He looked at me for approval. I nodded, smiling.
Then they cut the cake.
Everyone noticed the unshed tears in Danish Bhai’s eyes—but we focused on Dawood’s joy.
My heart melted watching Danish Bhai hug him for the first time in all these years.
He kissed every part of Dawood’s face, trying hard to control his tears.
“Baba loves you a lot, bachha,” he said, pressing Dawood tightly to his chest.
“Danish Chachu, stop being dramatic like Dilan,” said Abira, making us laugh.
