Shoaib's POV

**Are they both insane? They pranked me? Seriously? How could they?**

"Shahram, just open the door!" I shout, slamming my fist on the door they locked from the outside.

My blood boils at the sound of their laughter.

"Argh! Shahram! Afshaan!"

"Don't be so desperate, Chachu," I hear Afshaan's voice, making me clench my teeth in frustration.

I sit on the couch, seething in anger. Who the hell pranks like this?

First, they lied to me, saying Dishaan Bhai was asking for me, tricking me into this room, and now they’ve disappeared like ghosts.

**God, what will Taniya think of me?** That I abandoned her on our wedding night?

Cursing under my breath, I lean my head back on the couch and close my eyes.

Her beautiful face appears in my mind. She looked like a dream in her bridal attire.

I was lost in my thoughts, dreaming about her fairy-like presence when the clicking sound of the door unlocking snapped me back to reality.

**Finally, they decided to open it.**

Taking a deep breath, I tilt my head, expecting to see Shahram and Afshaan’s guilty faces, but my mood sours when I see Shreya standing there instead.

She’s in her nightdress, taking slow steps toward me with a sad smile.

**I don’t give a damn about her sadness anymore.**

I quickly stand up and walk past her, but she grabs my bicep, stopping me in my tracks.

Her touch burns my skin with disgust.

**How dare she act like this?** After shattering me into a million pieces, here she is, playing the victim card—acting as if I’m the one who wronged her.

I glance at where her fingers grip my arm and, with a sharp jerk, free myself from her hold.

I am **not** in the mood to deal with this. I know her words and two-faced nature will only break me further.

I step forward, eager to leave this suffocating room.

But her words halt me in my tracks.

**"Why did you betray me, Shoaib? You know how much I love you."** Her voice drips with fake emotions.

**Argh! I hate crocodile tears.**

"Betrayal? Love?" I chuckle bitterly at those words.

"You know what, Shreya? My **wife** is waiting for me. So, with all due respect, find another pawn to reach my brother—or should I say my **married** brother, who is soon going to be a father." My voice is calm, but only I know the storm raging inside me.

Her face pales at my words, but before she can respond, I walk out of the room.

**No. She can't play with my heart anymore.**

I will leave tomorrow. I **loathe** her very existence now.

How could she stoop so low? I need to tell Danish and Dani, but before that, I have to leave this place—or any place where she exists.

**I hate you, Shreya Singhania.**

On my way to my room—or rather, the room assigned to me in this massive castle—I feel nothing but frustration.

**How unlucky am I?**

Of all people, **Taniya had to be Abraham Ahmad’s long-lost niece.**

Shreya toyed with my heart just to do what? **To get close to Danish?**

And the worst part? Abraham Bhai **willingly** gave my baby sister to that terrorist.

Not just willingly—he actually **spent a fortune to celebrate it.**

But the most infuriating thing of all? **Now, I’m stuck with that bastard’s sister.**

**Her eyes will always remind me of her unworthy brother.**

**God, I’ll go insane. Please let this be a nightmare. Let me wake up tomorrow and return to my life as it was before.**

I unlock the door, only to be greeted by the most unexpected sight.

Taniya is asleep between Abira and Dilan. She is no longer wearing her heavy bridal attire, and for some reason, that **hurts.**

Like it was supposed to be **me** who stripped her of that dress… but no, my luck is always rotten.

Her white skin glows under the dim light of the night lamp.

The slow, rhythmic rise and fall of her chest makes me **uncomfortable** in ways I don’t want to admit.

Closing the door, I notice Abira’s arm wrapped protectively around her waist, while Dilan sleeps with his back to them.

**Who needs enemies when you have devilish nieces and nephews like these?**

Sighing, I change into fresh clothes, sit on the couch, and unlock my phone to book a flight to California.

But to be honest… **I’m not ready for this journey.**

I was already feeling protective and jealous over her—even when our Nikah was fake.

So now, only **Allah** knows how I’ll keep up this hatred after marrying her for real.

But one thing is certain: **She will pay for her brother’s deeds.**

Her life will never be a fairytale with me.

**It will be a nightmare.**
