Rubab's POV
Anam Khala’s voice cut through us like lightning cleaving sky.
We froze.
My breath hitched against taha, Neymat still latched, her tiny fingers curling into her mother's breast like nothing else mattered in this world.
And maybe for her, it didn’t.
But for me… the world was shifting again.
I stood up slowly, cradling neymat in my arms, and without a word, walked out of the room
There was a storm in my chest. And silence was the only thing holding me together.
Until we reached the corridor.
Until the words dropped from the doctor’s mouth.
I didn't breathe.
I didn’t blink.
Because the world didn’t move.

Shahjahan Maa’s hand flew to her mouth, tears springing instantly to her eyes.
“Yes,” the doctor confirmed gently. “Roughly 4 to 5 weeks along. We confirmed through blood work and ultrasound. .”
Taha took a step back.
Like the floor beneath him had shifted.
Pregnant.
Our broken, bleeding, brave Taniya… aapi was carrying life inside her.
Tears clouded my eyes. A sob built in my chest.
In the middle of all this grief, trauma, obsession, and danger—God had placed a flicker of light inside her womb.
A child.
A miracle.
Taha dropped onto the small bench, rubbing both palms across his face. His chest rose and fell rapidly.
“She doesn’t know yet,” the doctor added. “We wanted to tell the family first so you could be prepared for her emotional response.” our family doctor said,
