Taniya's POV

Time is flying, with me caged in this apartment.

He finally gave me my phone, and the first number I dialed was my brother’s—my everything.

But I think life has more pain in store for me, because after talking to him, I wished I had never called.

My brother was so broken. Rubab Bhabhi faced consecutive miscarriages.
Both of them were devastated and drowning in pain.

And after her last miscarriage, Sunidhi Mumani went to be with her.

Allah, she is a real angel. She treats us like we are her everything.

I know I could be free from this hell if I told her about my suffering.
But somehow, I don’t want to—because that would only lead to bloodshed by Mamu.

And evil or not, Shoaib is still my husband… or more than that, he is Rubab Bhabhi’s brother.
And I can't inflict more pain on her.

She is already going through too much at such a young age.
People say you face complications in pregnancy at an older age, but here she is—facing them early, losing her child again and again.

I also went through the agony of miscarriage.
That physical pain… and a little emotional pain too.
Because no matter how much you try—not to care, not to feel—being a woman, you can’t hate the child in your womb.
I learned it the hard way.

But her case isn’t like mine.
The babies she’s losing weren’t born from betrayal.
They were born from love, from wait, from pain.
Only they—my brother and Bhabhi—know what they’re going through.

And when I found out Bhabhi had been assaulted...
I couldn’t stay here anymore.

Allah, please don’t punish her for Shoaib’s sins.
She is innocent.
She is the love of my brother.

I cried when I learned the truth.

I don’t know where this courage came from, but I contacted Mumani, and she arranged a private jet for me to fly back to my brother.
They both need me.

No... I need them.

I can’t bear Shoaib’s torture and psychotic behavior anymore.
Every time he touches me, my skin crawls.
But I think Allah is really testing my patience, because I can’t even share my pain with my brother.

He’s already suffering.
I’m not that selfish.
I know how insanely in love he is with Bhabhi.
But deep in my heart, I know... if I told him what Shoaib is doing to me, he would leave her for my sake.

He’d try to kill him.
And if he didn’t—out of love for her—he would still leave her forever.

No matter how deeply he loves her, he’d sacrifice it all for me.
He’s been doing it since childhood.

But my heart isn’t big enough to let him do that again.

Only I know how he spent those years of separation.
I love Taha Bhai so much.
But he loves me more.
So much that he would do anything for me.

He didn’t even want me to continue this marriage when Abraham Mamu asked for my opinion.
But how could I tell him that his sister had already given everything to that man?
That his sister was so weak she thought her tormentor was her savior after Navruz’s betrayal?

Wiping my tears, I sat at the dinner table, where Shoaib brought food from the kitchen, apron wrapped around his body.

He still doesn’t know what happened with Bhabhi.
He doesn’t know that Bhabhi and Bhai are adopting the son of her assaulter.
