Taniya's pov

Today is a grand party at Malik Mansion,
To welcome Rubab bhabhi's daughter.

She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and named her Neymat.

Sunidhi Mumani is here too-along with many political allies and some of Abraham Mamu and Sunidhi Mumani's mafia associates and friends.

It's not just a welcome party. It's something much bigger for me.

Shahjahan maa will announce the delegation of her position-to me.

She wants me to carry forward the legacy of the Maliks, as her daughter-in-law.

Anam Khala is also the elder bahu, but she already runs a mafia territory,
So now, someone like me-a once broken, fragile girl-will be given the power to lead Lucknow City.

Daneen Phupho is happy too. She supports maa's decision, especially as maa's health has been declining lately.

Life is so unpredictable. Full of unfolding moments.

I never imagined stepping into a role like this.
But tonight, I will become a leader.

As you know, Rubab bhabhi is also the face of a political party, and elections are approaching in Turkey.
Many powerful leaders are attending tonight's gathering to strengthen alliances-and eliminate traitors.

I dressed in an emerald green pashmina gown, with a matching dupatta on my head.
Shoaib wore the same color-an elegant Lucknowi kurta with a shawl.

Putting on my earrings, my eyes met Bakhtiyar and Dawood, sitting together with Niyamat asleep in Dawood's lap.

My heart melted at the sight-but it was their innocent conversation that truly moved me.

"She is your sister, Bakhtu?" my baby asked with a little difficulty, holding Niyamat's tiny fingers.

"No, she is our sister, Dawood bhai," Bakhtiyar replied in his crisp, childish voice.

"Will you share her with me?" Dawood asked, looking at Bakhtiyar.

Bakhtiyar nodded with a pout.

"You are Tani phupho's son, so you're my brother too," he said, kissing Dawood's temple.

Dawood blushed and nodded.

My heart melted.
How maturely Bakhtiyar spoke.

The one my husband once labeled as a "sin"... now showed nothing but love to our Dawood.
Like a true brother.

"You have butiful eyes," Dawood said, looking at Bakhtiyar's blue eyes and honey-brown hair.

"It's beautiful, buddhu," Bakhtiyar corrected gently, resting his head on Dawood's shoulder.

Neymat was fast asleep in Dawood's lap.
The three of them sat there-on a plush sofa-lost in their innocent world.

"Sorry," Dawood said softly, looking down sadly,

We never correct him harshly, because our baby is trying so hard to be his best self.

I was about to intervene-but Bakhtiyar's next words stopped me in my tracks.

"You know, bade bhai, my eyes are just like my baba's," he said, blinking a little too much-like flexing his eyes.

He was referring to Taha bhai.
Only if this poor soul knew the truth...

"Bakht, come to mama. Let's get dressed," I heard bhabhi's voice call out.

Turning to her, I saw her glowing in a luxurious abaya, the front zipped halfway since she's a feeding mother now.
She looked at me and smiled.
