"Thorin wrote this? But when? Why? He said that he never liked to write letters, poems, or anything that could be sentimental in the future."
Bilbo studied the paper without reading it.
He started to remember Thorin, the man he fell in love with.
Bilbo collapsed on the floor; tears flowing from his eyes like waterfalls.
"Thorin- he-he-"
Bilbo clutched the paper close to his heart and wept and continued to weep for a long time.
Bilbo, at some point, composed himself and got back on his feet and started to read the letter.I never have fallen in love before but now I have. His hair is like silk and his eyes like stars and each time I look into them I see a galaxy and I fall deeper in love. He isn't of my kind but that doesn't matter. I am truly in love with him. His name is Bard.
With this, Bilbo stood there in shock.
"Bard? Bard the Bowman? But-but-"
Then the crying started again. Bilbo threw the letter into the open fire and sat there in tears for the only man he ever loved, loved someone other than him.
