As for Scott, he didn't necessarily come clean right away either...

Connie came into his room while he was texting Mitch. "Hey sweetie? Can we have a little talk?" she said. Scott put his phone away and looked at his mother. "What's up?" "Sweetie..." she started out, "Your father and I are concerned that you and Mitch may be something other than friends" "Uh, yeah we're best friends mom." He laughed as he said it. "Scott." Uh-oh, Scott thought, she used my name. "Mom. Mitch and I are only friends. I- I like him as a friend! We've practically grown up together! Stop." Connie sighed. "Well, if you ever feel the need to tell me the truth... I'll be here sweetie!" With that she left.

Scott just sat on the edge of his bed with his head in his hands. He had never been so confused in his life. He knew girls were a priority in life, but when he first saw Mitch that changed. Was it Mitch's fault he was so confused with who he liked...

Scott got up and went to his bathroom to splash water on his face. After he took deep breaths and looked into his mirror. "I am straight. I am straight. I AM straight." he repeated to himself. "I-I think I am anyways." Scott left his bathroom with a sigh. He went down to his mother and father and put his heart on his sleeve. "Mom. Dad. I-I I don't know what I like. I like girls, b-but not as much ya' know? There's something wrong with me, isn't it! That's why you asked. I'm not supposed to like boys, I'm not supposed to like Mitch. I-I can't. It's not right!!" Scott said, breaking down on the couch. "I have to l-like girls though, I had a crush on T-Tori down the street. That counts!" he sobbed. His father sighed and walked over to sit next to his son. "Scott, what you are feeling is normal. It could be a phase if you say you still have some feelings for girls." Scott looked at him, wiping away his tears.

"A phase? So it'll go away?"

"Most definitely" Assured Rick.

And with that Scott felt better about himself.
