Mitch's POV con:

This day couldn't have been any more boring! But thankfully it was finally lunch, which meant 1) it's almost time to go home and 2) Scott and Kirstie would be here.

I bet you're wondering how Kirstie came in the picture. It all started after entering high school, things started to change. Me and Scott were literally on the verge of going our separate ways. Scott was popular and I was the little sidekick. He was invited to things, while I stayed home. That's when Kirstie came in. One night Scott was at one of those high school parties, when he got trashed! Kirstie was the one who took him to my place. She had said Scott told her all these intimate things on the way to my house. At the time, I didn't believe her so I asked what he told her. Lets just say it was about 3 years worth of information that was bestowed up Kirstie. After that night she would randomly come up to us in school to see how we were. Some days were better than others, and she was always there to help fix it. So with her being around a lot, we just decided to keep her around. Yeah, I know it's not much of a cool story but she was the glue in our relationship. She still is.

"Mitchell! Come on and sit." I heard a female voice say as I entered the cafeteria. I turned to my left and saw Kirstie. Speak of the Devil, I thought. "Hey, you guys saved me a spot I see." I said and sat down at the table, "I'm surprised that one of Scotty's many girlfriends didn't take it!" "Hey, watch out! They may be coming later." Scott said with a laugh.

"So Mitchie, see anyone that has potential to be your boyfriend?" Scott asked. You. "Uhm, not yet. It is only our first day back." "And your point is? It's our second year in high school!" He said with a laugh. "Maybe he wants a little Scotty action." Kirstie told Scott with a wink. My eyes widen in terror. "Psh, why would Mitch want me. Stop being ridiculous Kirst." with that he looked over at me, "You don't want me, right..." I nodded. "I-I was kinda thinking Travis was cute..." I said to cover my tracks. I wasn't lying, Travis was cute. I could use him as a distraction from Scott!

I heard Kirstie start talking again, "Travis? Really?! Why Mitchell? He's not your type!" I glared at her. "You know my type now?" "Whoa, whoa. Guys calm it down. Mitchie, if you like Travis, cool. Kirstie, stay outta his love life." We both sighed.

Lunch Bell Rings

Thank goodness, I couldn't stand to be subjected to this awkward silence anymore. I got up as quickly as I could and rushed to my last class of the day, Art. As I entered the room I saw Travis. I smirked. This could be an interesting school year.

"Hey Travis!" I say as I walk over to him. He looked up at me and smiled. It was similar to Scott's but not as bright. "Wanna be art partners?" "Sure."he replied. I took a seat next to him and we began talking as we waited for the teacher to give us further instructions.

Mrs.Crestwood mentioned something about the person next to us being our partner for our first art project. It was to be done by the end of the month and worth 20% of our first quarter grade. We had to sculpt something that represented us. How the heck does that work?

Me and Travis took all class period trying to get to know each other so we could go to my house and get started. We both decided on doing a music themed sculpture since he wanted to be a DJ and I wanted to be a singer. When the final bell rang I told Travis to meet me at my locker and he could walk with me and Scott.

I had made it to my locker to see Scott ready to go. "Travis is walking with us today." I simply said and I could see his jaw clench then unclench. "Cool. I get to actually hang with the guy you just brought up today." "I'm gonna ignore that sarcasm." I put my stuff away in my locker and got my bag out. "Hey!" I heard behind me, but I also heard a low growl coming from Scott.

This should be an interesting walk...
