25. Date? No a Hangout...

We both stare at each other in shocked silence. A glob of strawberry-flavoured spit slowly drips from my eyebrow.

"Oh my god." Hyunjin covers his mouth in shock. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Kari, wait here." He bolts up, knocking over his chair, and comes back with the entire tissue box from the librarian's desk.

Great. Just perfect. My romantic confession was rewarded with a faceful of dairy.

"I shouldn't have given you that." I mutter as he frantically dabs at my face, his hands shaking.

"I'm sorry," he repeats for the tenth time, his voice cracking. "Done, go wash it." He says, giving me his jacket.

"Okay." I stand up from my seat.

"I'll wait outside. Do you want me to bring you clothes?"

Ugh. How am I supposed to be mad at him when he's like this?

"No." I shake my head, standing up carefully to avoid dripping on more library property. "I need to go home and... process this." I gesture vaguely at my milkshake-crusted self. "But we're not done talking. So don't you dare run away, Hwang Hyunjin."

His Adam's apple bobs as he nods vigorously. And I walk out of the library.

Min~:
About our meetup today.. u still up for it?

'Goddamn it i forgot.. SHIT SHIT SHIT!'

Yup..
at 10 the usual spot right? I'll be there

'How the fuck did i forget this????' I just go to my closet and grab something which satisfies my mood for the day.. and get the hell out of my house as its already 9:00.

I successfully reach the meetup spot. It was the our old spot near the lake which somehow was looking the same way it did the last time we came together. It bought back memories... the memories i wish were no longer just memories but pushing those thoughts to the back of my mind i scroll through my social media trying to distract my thoughts. Plot twist it didnt...

"Hey your early!!" I heard Minho's siren type of voice ringing through my ears. Nope not going there now..

"You too" I questioned back for which he chuckles. I melted then and there. I need to seriously get over him now, but can I?

Minho's POV 

I know we were meant to meet at 10 but i couldn't help so here i am at 9:35...

But turns out I wasn't the only one who couldn't help it as i saw Ji scrolling through his phone or atleast trying to. So i called onto him "Hey your early!!" and the look on his face showed that he wasn't expecting me to be this early. He debated for a whole minute and then replied "You too" which made me chuckle cuz he debated a whole minute on what to say and that was the best he could manage...

"So now that we are here anyway why don't we start this hangout early?" I asked as to be honest I wanted to spend more time with him and this was probably the most we spend time together after our breakup...

He broke my thoughts with his answer "Yea lets go!" I know this is awkward for both of us but i guess we needed this time for ourselves so the most reasonable location was the cafe we used to meet up often... so that's where we went.

Jisung's POV

The walk to the cafe was quiet, but surprisingly, the silence wasn't as suffocating as I thought it would be. Maybe it was the rhythmic sound of our footsteps syncing up, or maybe it was just him walking beside me.
