Zewu Jun was placed under house arrest after he was cleansed. He stayed in seclusion within the Hanshi. Lan Zhan and I have decided to go pay him a visit. Honestly, Zewu Jun did have a right to defend a friend but when evidence is so abundantly clear as day, nothing can be done to save the perpetrator. He ended up as an accomplice, and created a boundary between blood brothers. He lost the trust of Lan Zhan, and he cannot blame anyone but himself.
Lan Zhan has been in turmoil since I was poisoned. Not only did he worry about me, but he had a storm of thoughts aimed toward Zewu Jun. Confusion, anger, hurt, and betrayal. It was clear that Zewu Jun was under manipulation so some of his actions may not have been his own, but now he needs to be questioned. If he was not influenced by the resentment, would he still make the same choices. That is what Lan Zhan and I are here to discuss with him.
"Are you ready?" I asked Lan Zhan as we approached the Hanshi.
"As I can be," he said.
I stopped him from walking and placed my hand on his face, brushing my thumb against his cheek, "I will be right beside you. If you ever get too uncomfortable, we can step out for a moment or leave. We will go at your pace," I told him. I wanted answers but this is more important to Lan Zhan. He needs to know if he can gain any sort of trust back in Zewu Jun, even if it is small.
Lan Zhan leaned into my touch and a small smile played on his lips, "I appreciate it, My Love," he said. He leaned in and captured my lips with his own. A clear indication of how much he appreciates me being beside him. He will be with me through hell and back, so I will gladly do the same.
"Ready?" I asked after we pulled apart. He let out a sigh and nodded.
We went to the door and knocked and waited. Zewu Jun was a bit surprised to see Lan Zhan and I standing outside the door, but he seemed like there was some sort of relief too.
"May we come in to chat?" I asked, kindly.
Zewu Jun nodded and led us to sit at the table. He had tea already being prepared, "I am actually glad you two finally agreed to come by."
"We apologize for the delay, we had to deal with another matter first," I answered.
"Jin Guangshan?" He asked.
I looked at him a bit surprised, "How did you know?"
"Shufu stopped by to inform me just earlier this morning," Zewu Jun said, "...I do owe you two an apology. I want you to know I never wanted any harm to come to either of you."
I nodded, "Honestly, our grudge has died down pretty quickly, and I can understand some of your actions. I also know you were being manipulated. We want to know, would you have still reacted the same if you were not being manipulated?"
"I was surprised, but I know right from wrong," he said, "even under an illusion I knew Meng Yao did something, but words spoke that did not seem to be my own. It was also clear on what happened, and somehow, I couldn't understand why I would defend that, but I did...it's not an excuse, I know that...But I want you to know that I would never wish either of you harm."
I nodded and I glanced at Lan Zhan, who had yet to say anything. Lan Zhan was staring at the tea cup in his hand on the table. He looked unsure of what to say, "did you want to have a moment alone?" I asked Lan Zhan.
He looked at me suddenly and shook his head, "Do not leave," He said. It almost sounded like he was begging me not to step out of the room.
"I am right here," I told him.
I then glanced back at Zewu Jun who had a little spark in his eye and the corner of his lips lifted up slightly, "it is good to see you two doing so well," he said.
I nodded.
"Wangji, I hope to gain some trust back one day," He said.
Lan Zhan glanced at him, "Xiongzhang, I feel I should not be upset with you because of the situation you were in...I cannot seem to find it in me..." Lan Zhan said.
"I understand, Wangji," Zewu Jun said, "I will live out my sentence, being in seclusion for three years with my powers sealed. I do hope you can come visit and we can slowly rebuild some sort of peace between us."
Lan Zhan nodded. I let out an internal sigh of relief. That was enough for now. After some time, Lan Zhan and I did eventually leave. Lan Zhan was going to need some time. In my opinion, I may have suffered some, but he may have suffered me. He not only witnessed me suffer under the effects of that poison, and it nearly scared him half to death, especially when the symptoms came about while we were in bed, but he also suffered from the betrayal of his older brother. A man who he looked up to for years.
Lan Zhan does not speak of these things, but I can feel it. He is hurting, but I will not leave his side. I will be there to help him through this, just as he did for me. I get we still have to take care of San Bao, but Wai Po and Wen Qing have that covered for now. Right now, Lan Zhan and I still need time to heal some mental and emotional wounds.
That night, I let Lan Zhan have his way with me. Not that I do not normally, but I really let him let go. I let him tie me up and blindfold me. I can tell, even though he is such a beast when we make love, it also helps him relax. I can feel in our bond how much he loves it, how much he loves to touch me, kiss me, and pleasure me. I was so overstimulated but it was worth it. I found that letting him really let go, is the best sex, and the most pleasurable experience by far. He seemed to have figured out that I realized this too, and I have a feeling that I may be in this position a lot more in the future...I am definitely not complaining though.
