Wai Po let us use her library to study the material my parents left behind for me. There was old medical scriptures too that I know Wen Qing would love to have. Wai Po said we can take them back to San Bao but to keep them safe in a place where no one else can see them. These books have a lot in them, but something that I noticed is that not all people could actually read it unless you know of the old language and ancient texts. It must have been to keep others from reading if as not many people can read the old language. I know how because I studied it when I was little. It has been a long time but I still remember everything I learned about it.
These fighting skills my father had, they were way more advanced than any other sect out there. When my grandmother saw them she said it would be difficult for cultivators to learn if they have too low of spiritual energy. As Lan Zhan and I were now immortal, it would be a bit easier for us to learn.
"These skills are very valuable," I said, "its no wonder my parents wanted to hide them. I think these we can keep here but the medical books can be given to Wen Qing. I'm sure they would be of more use to her."
"Mnn," Lan Zhan replied, "I guess running a sect is in your blood."
"I never really thought about doing that," I told him, "and with Wai Po's help, I think this sect will be more Wen Qing and Wen Ning's soon. I am happy to help them but I never really wanted to have any sort of authority."
"I know," Lan Zhan said, "that is why this war has to end."
"It's not the war I am worried about," I told him, "I know it will only be a matter of time before Wen Ruohan is gone but the innocent people under the name Wen, will be implicated just because of their name."
"We will help them, but we need to get support from others too. With San Bao and your grandmother's help in keeping it safe, it can be a refuge for anyone who needs it. It can be the safe space. We won't let what happened to your father's sect happen again," Lan Zhan said.
"Will your brother and uncle be willing to help?" I asked.
"We will have to talk but I know if Baoshan is with us, they will listen more," Lan Zhan replied.
"What about Chifeng Zun?" I asked.
"As long as justice is there, he will help," Lan Zhan answered.
I nodded, "I don't know if Jiang Cheng will help but maybe he will if I can convince Shijie to talk to him. There has to be something we can do. You and I are stronger now so we can definitely do a lot on our own, but if we can get help, it would be better."
"We will," Lan Zhan said, "now that we looked through these, we can start running drills tomorrow. It's getting late so we should clean up and meet with Baoshan."
"Alright," I said and stood up. We book the books away and went to find Wai Po to talk.
"Hey you two, dinner will be ready soon," she said as we entered the main hall.
"Alright, we wanted to discuss some things with you," I said.
"Alright, let's go sit down while we wait," Baoshan said.
Lan Zhan and I sat down at the table with her in the dining area, "we wanted to talk about this war."
"I figured," Baoshan said, "but I think you two will be fine, just keep up with your training."
"It's after it ends that has us concerned. The innocent people who are not involved but have the name Wen, they will become targets," I explained.
"Your sect, San Bao," Baoshan said, "while you two were in the library, I went to go pay it a visit. It's actually quite nice. I can place special barriers around it and we can even set up a nearby refugee camp for those who need it. We can have people guarding it. San Bao is near Yiling so there is a lot of space for them to roam."
"I guess for those who want to join San Bao, they have that choice. They'd just have to have a thorough search and even have a medical check to make sure they are healthy. Wen Qing is good at detecting charms and curses. If anyone is suspicious we can take them out," I said.
"It's a good idea," Baoshan said, "I'm sure other sects would help."
"The only sect I know that won't is the Jin Sect. Lan Zhan said he can talk with his uncle and brother but you might be able to persuade them more. As for Chifeng Zun, as long as it's for doing the right thing, he will help. Sect Leader Jiang Wanyin, he may not be willing but I have a way to convince him. I just need to talk to his sister and she can usually get through to him. It doesn't always work though," I explained.
Baoshan nodded, "is there a space you are comfortable with to hold a small meeting? Perhaps discuss this with everyone you want to help that way you don't have to hold more than one meeting. It might be more beneficial if it's all on one session."
"There are a couple places but it's hard to get anyone together with the war going on right now," I said, "but we can probably pull them aside for a small meeting at the war camp."
"Not a bad idea, although, Lan Qiren isn't there is he?" Baoshan questioned.
"He is back in Gusu with those who cannot participate in the fighting," Lan Zhan answered.
"I can speak with him, you two focus on the everyone else. Before you go though, I want you to spend a couple days training your new abilities before going into battlefield," Baoshan told them.
"I think the longest we could stay is a week. There is already a lot happening," I said, "I don't necessarily want to leave though."
Baoshan smiled, "A'Ying, you can come visit me anytime you like. You can teleport. Plus I will have a secret portal near San Bao. I promised to help protect it, did I not?"
"Thank you," I said.
Once the food was ready, we ate and then went to freshen up for the night. There was still a lot to do, but I was now going to help out. I thought that I could hide away but now that I can fight again, I have to protect the people at San Bao. To do that, I have to fight in the war with Lan Zhan.
