I didn't want to go out and do anything at the moment. I was still lost in my little world as a newly married man. Lan Zhan was not any better. He and I cannot keep our hands to ourselves for more than two seconds. I think we exceeded the every day quota of sex to having sex two or three times a day. It seemed like a lot but the way our spiritual energies blend and the way it calms me, it was amazing.

We could not hide away forever though. Though we have sex so often, it is due to resentment acting up more. It's been about two months since the wedding, and I was getting more and more agitated. The only way I was calm was if I was under Lan Zhan as he passed his essence to me. Dual cultivation was the only thing keeping me calm.

I do love it though. I wouldn't change anything. Lan Zhan was always so good to me. No matter how torturous the sex may seem, he was such a good husband, even with the after care. I never thought I would see this side of him. When I first met him, he was so stiff and rigid, but I got to know that underneath it all, his heart is just as pure.

There was now the problem of dealing with these little things. Though we have San Bao, with the help of Baoshan and Qing-Jie and her brother, Lan Zhan and I could focus on this resentment issue. It was a risky move, but the best way to really understand is to follow the source. Lan Zhan hated the idea but he knew it was our best move. We were immortal and a lot stronger than a lot of people. We had to figure out what was happening.

We left San Bao and followed the trail of resentment. It led us to an abandoned village. It was so strong with it that it was like it housed a Yin Hu Fu. I had to reach out just to see if there was another such item in this world again.

"Mine was dangerous enough, but if there is another amulet, it will be bad," I told Lan Zhan.

"We will handle it as best we can," he said, "how are you feeling?"

"I am alright, a little cold but that is to be expected from resentful energy," I said.

Lan Zhan took off his outer most robe and put it over me, "my robes have a heat charm on them. Did you not place one on yours?"

I shook my head, "I cannot. The hot and cold clash too much. It feels like a war zone in my body. I deal with the cold as best as I can."

"You cannot keep living this way," Lan Zhan said.

I smiled sweetly at him. It was nice to know he cared about such things, "it will get better once this imbalanced energy is resolved," I said, "and I appreciate the concern. It was not often I got that in the past."

"That was the past," he stated firmly, "I refuse to let you suffer anymore than necessary. I'd prefer if you never had to suffer, but that is almost impossible."

I giggled, "you seemed to have figured me out too well."

"Mnn," he agreed.

I let out a sigh and looked around, "it is odd here though. I sense resentment but I do not feel any spirits present, nor do I see any fierce corpses."

"Should I try inquiry?" He asked me.

"You can try, but what will it accomplish?" I asked.

"Even if you do not feel the presence, inquiry can still find one further beyond," he answered.

I nodded, "alright."

He took out his guqin and it hovered before him. He played the few opening notes of inquiry and then waited. He then looked at me and shook his head, "perhaps it is an item then."

"All we can do is continue following the source," I said.

He took my hand after putting his guqin away, and we began to follow the source. We eventually found a small hut that was warded off. Even with the ward, the resentment oozed from it.

"Something very heavy in resentment is in that hut," I said, "I think it's time we summon Baoshan."

Lan Zhan nodded. He then pulled out a tassel and put some spiritual energy into it. Just that little bit was enough to call for Baoshan. She appeared seconds later.

"I see you found the source," she said, "it's quite dense."

I nodded, "I have a feeling on what it is but I wanted another immortal here to make sure it stays contained."

"The amulet?" She asked.

I nodded, "if I am wrong, something else is soaked in resentment."

"Let's find out," she said.

We passed through the ward to find what I suspected it was, another Yin Hu Fu, "as suspected...though it is filled with resentment, it doesn't feel as powerful as the original one I made."

"Luckily I have a place in my mountain to contain it, the issue now is, who made it?" She asked.

"This abandoned village is close to Lanling's border. It isn't a coincidence," I said, "but I cannot make such accusations publicly without evidence."

"I will have some people scout the area and wait to see if someone shows. To make it seem like we haven't come, I will make a placebo array," Baoshan said.

"Perfect," I said, "let's get to it then."

Lan Zhan and I carefully placed the amulet in a Qiankun bag as Baoshan made the array. We remade the ward that was here and left the village as it was. We had people hidden around the area to keep watch on who comes and goes. We gave the pouch to Baoshan and we went back to San Bao.

"That went better than expected, all we can do now is wait," I said to Lan Zhan as I sat beside him on our bed.

"Mnn," he said and pulled me to his lap, "how are you feeling now? Still cold?"

"No, I'm just perfect," I said and wrapped my arms around his neck, "especially when I'm this close to you. Er-Gege, you are so warm."

I felt his arms stiffen at the name I called him. I smiled knowing he was starting to get provoked. It was working.

"You should know the consequences by now for calling me that name," he warned.

My smile grew, "I do, and you should know I will always call you this when it's time to play."

"As long as you know what will happen to you," he said and shoved me back on the bed, "keep teasing me, and it will get worse."

I placed my hands on his face and pulled him closer, "what are you waiting for then? I give myself to you, Er-Gege."

With a smirk, a growl left his throat and he lunged forward. His lips attacked mine and did not stop. I will never get tired of this man. He has me hooked in too deep now. I'm his, always his.
