A/N – I've finally reached 50 comments?! Thank you so much for helping me reach this goal because I feel like comments are the one thing that is quite hard to achieve. Anyone can stumble upon a book and give it a read and if they enjoy it they may vote. But it takes dedication to actually put effort into taking the time out to write a comment so reaching 50 comments has definitely amazed me. My next goal is 200 votes and we're not that far off. If you enjoy reading this book then please consider giving it a vote. It only takes a second but that second means the world to me and it definitely puts a smile to my face so please vote on the chapters. And without further ado...

Chapter 16 – Remind Me Never To Date Any Of Your Ex-Boyfriends

"I asked Hunter about what you guys said." I stated, sitting down at our lunch table.

"You did what?!" They all exclaimed in unison.

"What did you guys tell her about Hunter?" Camilla was the only one oblivious to what was going on because she was away for a few days. Her grandma had passed away in Wisconsin so she had to go there to attend the funeral. It kind of sucked in a way because I had gotten to know the other girls quite well during these past few days.

Layla was still feeling quite guilty about what happened at her house and even though I was curious as to what was going on with her parents, I refrained from saying anything in case it caused her any discomfort.

I began talking to Danielle and Bailey quite often and I got to know a bit about them. Danielle is originally from Texas but she moved to New York when she was 12 because Hurricane Alex had hit Texas. She is an only child but she has a shit load of cousins from her dad's side – she says it's one of the perks of being Latina. Bailey is from New York and she was born here. Her and Danielle met each other in middle school and they have been best friends ever since.

"Do you remember last year when Hunter beat up a guy to death because he touched his car?" Bailey asked Camilla who gave her a look of recognition, "Oh yeah! And Hunter got suspended for 3 months or something."

"Alyssa took a ride in his car to school a few days ago." Danielle added.

"I still don't see the big deal." I shrugged my shoulders carelessly.

"I do! He's dangerous, Alyssa."

"Well I'm still alive so it can't be that bad," I assured, "Plus when I asked him he said that it was all a stupid rumour."

"He's lying."

"You don't know that! Plus people make things up all the time and I don't think he would beat anyone to death. Did anyone actually see it happen?" I asked.

"It was after school."

"Wait, wait, wait....back up a little. When did you even become such good friends with Hunter Ashford in the first place?" Camilla asked.

"Friends? Pfft yeah right. I hate the guy." I scoffed.

"Then why are you defending him?" Danielle smirked.

"Because I also hate rumours." I smiled back.

"And why exactly were you taking rides from him anyway?" Riley asked.

I hadn't told them about the whole situation where he helped me at the club when I went to pick up Layla and let him drive me home and then him losing my keys. Speaking of, I have a feeling that Layla was drunk that night because she doesn't seem remember anything seeing as though she hasn't mentioned it. Either that or she's just avoiding the subject overall.

"A ride." I corrected her, "And it's kind of a long story."

"Wait," Riley pretended to check the time on her non-existent watch, "Yep, we've got time."
