THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING PEARL

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Kelly was in the garage.  She had just finished changing in the garage itself when she heard the garage door open up. Kane marched in the room. There wasn't any surprise or shock on her face. It seemed like the girl knew what was Kane thinking.

Kelly was just staring at him with no reaction at all. She had a blank face. Her head went low when she suddenly remembered about Susan. Just then she felt herself being pushed backwards. She saw Kane pushing her towards the wall. Her head again went low.

She looked up being hold tightly on the wall. Kane was looking at her. They stared at each other.
Kelly was able to notice Kane's eyes that had gone numb with all the tears. He caught her face tightly through her hair. Kelly still looked at him straight in his eyes while he had his look diverted.

He looked straight back in her eyes releasing her hair free from her grip. He moved himself closer to her not leaving any gap between them.
He hold her face and moved his lips towards hers.

Kelly too kissed him back. She didn't resist.

Kane slowly started to undress her by opening up the chain of the long sleeved jacket she was wearing. He stopped himself and kissed her more tightly as he moved his hand over her shoulder and slowly towards her wrist then jacket and then towards her palm when Kelly pushed him back.

Kane's head was low for few seconds and then he looked up again seeing Kelly looking downwards on the floor.
"What happened";  he asked.

"You don't need to force yourself on me"; she said looking up at him straight in his eyes.

"What..."; he asked shocked.

"You knew If I had the same machine like yours in my hand it would have burned down both our hands... If two people wearing those machines by any means got hold of it... their hands will be burnt down into shreds...well you were brave enough to take the risk.Firstly thought to check the supply of the machine which is with the help of wires straight in the synapse which you could have seen easily by undressing me but you had your respect with you so thought of taking the risk of burning down your hand. Well you don't need to think much on that... well I do have those machines...in my arms to create those lightning shots, in my shoes so that I can run faster 5 times faster than that of a normal human's speed in the same manner like you and I reached back home within seconds without any jeep or any vehicle.
 I do have those shoes too by which I can run on the water and to add on I even have those extra additions on my shoes that make me jump higher... I just don't have the instruments but I am even skilled in using those...
I know you are too upset and want to kill Susan's murderer by any means, but better know that by hurting yourself outwardly on mentally won't bring you any good. You of course need to calm yourself down... well you are still confused for me being a friend or foe, but better don't spend your time thinking on that... whoever I am a friend or foe won't benefit you at the present moment by any means... " she said.

There was a few seconds of silence in the room. "Well I should take my leave"; Kelly said and started to move away closing up the chain of her jacket.

"Why did you kissed me back when you knew what was my intention on the first place"; Kane asked looking at the girl who had stopped moving but yet looked at the door.

"I wish I could tell, but I don't know the answer myself"; Kelly said.
She was moving out when she was stopped again.

"How do you know that Susan is dead".

"I guess you know the answer quiet well"; Kelly said as she opened up the door. She looked back at him. Her blank face suddenly had a smile on it.

Kane was a bit surprised to see Kelly smile in that way. She looked beautiful. He had never seen her in the proper way apart from observing. For few seconds he wondered why he felt that he knew her, but that sensation was just for few seconds. It had vanished soon.
