THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING PEARL

CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

Kane got back his consciousness. His body ached badly. His head ached.
He tried to catch his head but was unable too.
He noticed that his hands were tied.

He remembered about the incident and was deppressed. He looked around at the place and found himself in a prison. There was another prison on the opposite side and one on the left.

Opposite to the left side prison was the corridor leading to the prisons.
End of the corridor had a gate.

There was no window in the prison.
All his weapons were taken away.

He inspected the place first visually and then by tapping.

He noticed a girl in the left side prison. It was Erika. Her hands weren't tied like Kane's.

She was looking at the prison and saw Kane there inspecting the room.
She was rejoiced to see him fine.
He looked at her and she waved. He wasn't able to wave back.
Erika noticed his tied hands.

"How did you reach here. what had happened", Kane asked from the only one corner of the room through which he was able to see Erika.    

After Kane had left Erika was called out by Sam. He told her that Kane was somewhere on his move and seeing his condition it was better to not let him go alone. Sam asked Erika to accompany him and that he knew where Kane was heading too.

"I know a short route through which we can reach there faster without him noticing it"; Sam said.

Sam also asked her to keep her cell at her place cause that would cause them some problem if they were planning to follow Kane. Knowing Kane well he had a high judging sense and would be able to catch them up soom.
So to avoid any risks it was better to not take their cell phones was what Sam considered.

Erika trusted that guy and followed. They mostly walked through the town out and went at many different places. Erika being of that same town was unaware of those roads.

As they travelled they were attacked by a group of people.
Erika was knock uncounscious by using chlroform.

Erika gained her counsciousness to realized that she was locked up in cage somewhere.  She tried to realize how did she end up there. She remembered themselves being attacked by some group of people.

They weren’t recognizable of course. It seemed they were appointed by someone but she had no idea who the acutual culprit could be.

She was not able to think of any particular reason why she would be kidnapped. As she wasn't aware of the reason she was not aware of the culprit.

She soon realized that Sam wasn’t with her. She wondered where would he be. She looked around but she was all alone at that place.

She looked around the room. Luckily she wasn’t tied or anything but the room which she was in was actually like a prison, an old prison.

There wasn’t any windows.  The prison gate was made of steel bars. There was a narrow way up ahead and there wasn’t any other room on the way except at the end of the narrow passage. There were two prisons on the left and the right side of the one she was kept. Both seemed to be empty.

Hours passed but no one entered. Each day there was food passed down towards her cage by a huge stick. There wasn't a single person who entered until they two people bought the uncounsciouss Kane there.

Seeing him in that condition made Erika shock. She had not expected to see that rude Kane ever in that state. He was locked down and until that time when she saw him she was not able to look as he was tied away at a different corner of the room.
