THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING PEARL

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

He went back after roaming out a bit.
It was time for breakfast and he had made it on time. He met Noel and Sapphire there. Jayson was late. Well that's expected from him atleast.

" Who are you"; Noel asked seeing a new member join them.

"My name is Kiara. I'm the eldest daughters child", she introduced herself with a smile.

"That's great. It's nice meeting you"; Noel said moving his hand forward for handshake.
The girl was silent for sometime. There was some hesitation within her.
Kane noticed it and got alert.

"What is it. Why is she..."; Kane thought but just then he noticed Kiara looking at him.
She suddenly smiled and moved her hand forward for a shake.
Noel shaked it up and down.

"My name is Noel "; he replied.
Kiara replied that she was even pleased meeting him.
They had their breakfast and Kane and the others headed towards the construction area.

" Why did you return. I don't think it was necessary. This would just create problems for you"; the granny said.

" I know that quiet well but I was just not able to stop myself from heading back. Don't worry I'm just a few days guest out here"; she said.

" It's no time for you to be around. I hope you leave soon";

Kiara nodded and headed out.
She went in her room and locked it back.

Kane was in his room relaxing for some while before the lunch.
Only few sentences were moving in his mind he had overheard a few time back.
Yes he had overheard Kiara's and her grannies talks. He ofcourse found it strange. Why was her own granny asking her to leave.

Somethings was up. He felt something strange just don't know what but there was something.
The family did had their own mysteries. Kane thought to not interfere much in their actual life but he just wan't able too. Their way of hiding were just inviting him to know much about them.

Erika after lunch went out with Kane and the others to check whether she could help them in anything.

"Everyone know why you are heading that way. We know how you make the working excuses to just do as you want"; John said as he saw Erika leaving from the place.

"Will you shut up"; Erika shouted.

"What are you upto"; Kiara asked coming in there.

"You don't know Kiara what Erika is upto"; John said.

"What are you upto"; Kiara asked with a keen eye towards Erika.

"Nothing he is just fooling around"; Erika said and left the house.

Sam enetered in Erika's room in the evening.

"Hey whats up"; Sam wished her.

"Nothing much just kepping out some things back in their places.... How come you are here"; Erika asked.

"Nothing was taking a break from work and thought to come see you".

"Ohhh..."

"Is anything wrong. You don't seem your normal self"; seeing the confused girl.

"Actually.... I'm feeling too guilty...like .... I just don't know how to explain it..." their talks were disturbed when Kiara entered in.

She introduced Kiara to Sam.

"Yes i know him"; she replied with a look that frightened Sam a bit.

"Well I should leave. I would probably talk to you later"; he said not tying to make an eye contact with Kiara.
