Another Fairytale Story [REWRITTEN]

Ben was in the waiting room with his head on Carlos's lap when his parents rushed through the doors, awaking him from the small nap he was allowing himself to take.

When he and the guys arrived, they were relieved to find the hospital staff awake and unharmed. They were quick to attend to them when they saw Ben, although they tried to turn the girls away, claiming there was nothing they could do about the sleeping spell. All five boys kept trying to explain that it wasn't the spell they were under, but there were a lot of voices going all at once that only further confused the nurses.

"Listen! She's mumbling and opening her eyes; clearly, she's not sleeping, but she might have a head injury that will only get worse the longer it goes untreated. Help her, please." Chad pleaded to the nurse nearest to him, his voice rising above and silencing the rest of the group. The nurse didn't argue and called for help as she led him away from the group.

"My sister is not under any sleeping spell either. Look at her eyes, the dried blood on her lips, or hell, I don't know, check her pulse! My sister is in dire need of medical attention. Please, help her!" Ben's voice grew loud enough to silence the room, which is saying a lot for a hospital. He didn't mean to get so hot-headed, but he didn't want more time to pass where Bella was not getting the help she needed.

"We're sorry for our negligence, your Majesty. We'll take her from here." The second nurse signaled for a gurney to be brought over, and as Ben placed her down, the nurse began to check on her heart rate before checking her pulse. His fear grew as he read the nurse's face; panic. She tried to control it when she noticed him looking, but there was no way to hide the urgency in her voice when she called for others.

"I need all hands on deck! Someone page Dr. O'Hara, code blue for her royal highness. I repeat, code blue." Nurse Eva, as Ben would later come to know, called out as she and another nurse rolled Bella away. Ben knew the situation was bad, but watching his sister being taken past those doors only deepened the fear that she wouldn't walk back through them.

"Ben and I will stay for any updates on the girls. When Chad returns, you three should head back to the dorms. If not to check on the situation, then to get some rest." Carlos said, turning to face Jay and Gil. He knew Ben would stay no matter how long he'd have to wait, but their friends should at least get some rest after the day they'd had.

"Nah, we're all in this together till the end. You two head to the waiting area, Gil and I will hit the vending machines and bring back the best dinner-slash-midnight snack this hospital has to offer." Jay said. Carlos was glad his spirit hadn't been wrecked like theirs. Merlin knows they need someone to keep them optimistic. "Alright, but could you also see if there's any coffee or tea?" Jay shot him a thumbs up as he and Gil turned to start their raveging.

That was forever ago; it was nearly five a.m. (ones bound to lose track of time under these circumstances ) when Adam and Belle came rushing through the doors. Ben got up, ready to explain everything, while leaving a few details out, but before he could, they pulled him into a bone-crushing hug. A hug that got tighter when Belle pulled Carlos into it.

"I'm so glad you boys are okay. We were so worried. When we woke up, we tried calling, but neither of our calls went through, so I started calling around to the hospitals, just fearing the worst. They were getting a flurry of calls, so they kept putting me on hold until your father took over, and well, you know him. So they finally told us you had arrived some time ago..." Belle stopped to catch her breath. She smiled when she saw the other boys, taking time to hug each of them, as any mother would, glad to see they were okay, too.

"Where are Mal and Evie? Is Bella okay? Have they updated you on anything? When I called, they said you brought her in and that she was rushed in, but that was all they told us. What happened?"
