New York was the destination until Grant agreed to be interviewed by one of the most popular podcast shows on the east coast. He received the call before boarding the plane.
Buckethead
Buckethead was such a weird name for a podcast show, but everyone went with it after hearing some of the creator's thoughts. Solana didn't understand why Grant was going. She didn't care for the man who owned the podcast.
Darius.
Solana wasn't stupid. She had an Instagram account and a Twitter account. A few of his videos popped up on her screen before. Most of his views and opinions were weird. Not only was he a misogynist, but he was also extremely messy. Darius's podcast gained over one million listeners. One million. Everyone tuned in to hear what he had to say–whether ignorant or reasonable.
"I don't think you should go on there." Solana pushed out as she leaned her head against her seat.
Grant furrowed his brows before asking, "Why?"
Solana rolled her eyes and said, "Darius is a misogynist. You shouldn't associate with those types of men..." She eyed him closely before adding, "Or else, people are going to think you're like Darius...and possibly Future."
He smirked and chuckled lightly before touching the brim of his nose. Grant was shocked to hear Solana say that. Her comparing him to a podcaster and rapper was hilarious.
"I'm serious," Solana stated without an ounce of laughter. "I didn't know you liked him."
"I mean..." Grant looked off, glancing out the window before placing his attention on Solana, "I listen to him sometimes, not all the time."
"Mmm..." Solana hummed, "Then you know he hates women?"
"Now, why would he hate women? What man in their right mind would hate women?"
Solana eyed him closely before spewing, "Clean your ears before you listen to him because it's obvious you're not hearing what comes out of his raggedy mouth–– that man–– no boy–– said women are supposed to know when to speak and how to speak to their men."
"He talks about men, too." Grant pointed out, "He's always defending women when it comes to the same old tiring fifty-fifty discussion."
"That's the only thing he defends when it comes to women."
"Come on, Solana." Grant tried pleading with her. "It's only an interview. I don't plan on befriending the guy."
"I don't know." She shook her head, "I don't like the way he talks."
Grant grabbed her hand and intertwined it with his. He brought it up to his lips and kissed it gently before saying, "How about this? When I go on the podcast, I'll check him for the stuff he says."
Solana immediately raised her brows and widened her eyes. She knew Grant wasn't scary at all. He wasn't from the hood, but he definitely inherited all the boldness from his father.
"You would really do that?"
"If it makes you feel better, yes." He nodded without hesitating.
"What about security?"
Grant narrowed his eyes and said, "I'm not worried about no security. Look at me."
Grant was more than likely bigger than the security men on the Buckethead podcast. He was about 6'8" and weighed over two hundred pounds. He could take on a few security guards if they tried him.
