The thing about new places were all the hiding spots no one had discovered yet, and The Commons had taken great appreciation of the places they could escape to. A moment of silence from the growing Second Mass and an increase of mission had begun to grow scarce, and they all felt it in their bones.

Elizabeth once found Andrew and Jay passed out on the ground trying to get an hour of sleep, when she was trying to catch a break from her own family. Because even sleep seemed to grow scarcer by the day.

So whether it was to catch up on some sleep, alone time, down time as a group without any disruptions or a debrief without prying ears. They would find themselves in the somehow yet to be discovered classroom on the second floor.

Yet to be discovered by anyone but Grace Mendoza, the twenty one year old whom they shared their sleeping quarters with. Elizabeth wasn't sure how exactly she ended up being roomed with them, but she wasn't complaining. It had actually been nice to have another girl around for a change, that didn't know everything about her, yet.

But with Grace helping restock the sickbay, and Nathan at the commanders post, the remaining three had been playing a game of cards when the twenty two year old had barged into the room. The look on his face enough to quiet the rowdy but playful chaos that had erupted in response to the card that had been put down.

Nathan must have figured out where all of them had been, after every other possible location post their own recons had come up empty.

The backpack once slung around his shoulder collided with the tile as he moved to the group, "We need to talk."

A knowing look was exchanged between the other three members of the Commons, one only a few people would come to know its wordless meanings of sooner than later. Whatever had happened, it had to stay between the four walls of that very room.

Andrew had been the first to cut through the silence as his best friend sat down across from him, "Bad news?"

The dark haired man had let out a sigh before mentioning how it depended on how they looked at whatever the news he was about to share would be taken.
