Since the very first time your girlfriend brought up the idea of getting her tongue pierced, you loved it. You basically dreamt about it. She was unsure at first. She wanted it, but she also couldn't stop thinking about all of the 'what ifs'.
What if she didn't like it? What if you didn't like it? What if something went wrong?
You reassured her that you thought she was beautiful no matter what, and that everything would be okay. And for a matter of fact, you thought she'd somehow be even hotter with the piercing. That was all she needed to hear. With a bit of your help (since she was still a little apprehensive), she booked it for the following day.
The entire time leading up to the appointment, it was obvious how tense she was. She'd had piercings before, but this was different. But you comforted her and made sure she knew that you'd be there the whole time. You couldn't go into the room with her, but you were obviously going to be in the building waiting for her.
When you were about to leave to go to her appointment, you made sure she'd eaten, and had something to drink. Just in case. You didn't want her getting lightheaded or passing out.
It didn't take long for the piercing to be done. A huge smile appeared on her face when she walked out of the room and saw you.
"You okay, baby? Did it go okay?" You asked when she was close enough.
She nodded happily, but didn't show you yet. You were desperate to see but just assumed she was waiting until you were outside.
When the payment was sorted out, and you got outside, you practically pounced on her.
"Can I see yet?? Pleaseee!" You slightly laughed.
She smiled and shook her head in response, making you pout.
"Whyyy?" You frowned as you spoke.
"When we're home."
You sighed and took her hand. The walk home felt like forever. It was only ten minutes. But you were so eager to see how it looked! Too eager.
The second you both stepped inside the house, you cupped her face in your hands and asked again.
"Can I see it now? Pretty please?"
She laughed at how desperate you were to see the jewellery, but she nodded, taking your hands away from her face and sticking her tongue out. You immediately gasped and went to hold her face again, but she was quicker. She closed her mouth and buried her face in your neck, smiling as her cheeks turned pink.
"Do you like it?" She mumbled.
"Of course I do!! I love it. It looks so good on you, my love." One of your hands reached up to tangle in her hair, scratching her head lightly while your other rested on her lower back, before she lifted her head back to look at you again.
"Show me again." You whispered, "please?"
She listened. It suited her so much, if that even makes sense? You were already obsessed with it, but dreading the healing process considering she couldn't really put it to use for around a month. But at least you'd be able to take care of her during it, you always loved being able to take care of her.
"How did it feel? Like did it hurt a lot? Tell me what happened, I'm curious." You dragged her towards the living room so that you'd be able to put something on the tv, cuddle up, and talk about how it went. And obviously look at it some more.
A week into the healing process, it already felt like forever. You were desperate for her to use it on you. I mean, that wasn't the whole reason why she got it, but you'd definitely discussed it. Multiple times.
