The hot water felt relaxing. The steam building up in the bathroom felt cosy. You had both had a long day, and a slow, hot shower to end it felt perfect. The hum of your music was drowned out by your sleepiness. You lathered shampoo into each others hair, in between gentle kisses on necks and shoulders. Quiet whispers in each others ears. Quiet 'I love you's. Nothing could feel better. This was where you wanted to stay forever. In your girlfriend's arms under the hot stream of the shower.

Conditioner soon followed, raking it through each others hair, tying it out of your face and leaving the conditioner to sit. Then body wash. Gentle touches. Slight massages. Some suggestive comments that were barely there from how exhausted you both were, but obviously meant in a loving way. Comments about how perfect you both were. How much you loved each other. Appreciation. Occasional hugs mid conversation.

Sometimes you couldn't help but wonder if you were dreaming, and one day you would wake up and this wouldn't be real. But oh no, it was very real. She was there with you. Always. You were with her. You got so lucky, she was like an angel. So sweet, and loving. She adored you. And of course you adored her.

The water washed away the soap covering your bodies, and was soon to wash away your face wash too. Refreshing your face, slightly waking you up more, but not for long. You soon fell back into your sleepy state as the conditioner got rinsed out of your hair, and your girlfriend's hair afterwards.

When you both got out, your first move was body lotion. It smelt heavenly. You wished you could live with that smell forever. You originally used different scented lotions when you first got together, but soon ended up switching between both on different occasions since you loved both. Her fingers trickled up your arms as she massaged it in, your legs too. And your shoulders. You did the same to her. Focusing on the areas you knew were most sensitive for her. The areas she loved so much.

You were both barely awake at this point. But next came skin care. You did your routines separately since it was easier, but soon helped each other again with hair care. Leave in conditioner, serum, whatever you felt like using that day. And you always braided each others hair afterwards, though your hair never really dried well when it was in a braid. It was nice to have it out of your face though.

You brushed your teeth together, flossing, mouthwash. You finally felt fresh.

Gentle touches as you moved through the bathroom and bedroom together. You were in your favourite pyjamas, everything felt perfect. You had the best girlfriend in the world, just had the most relaxing shower, skin care and hair care, cosy pyjamas, quiet music in the background, and then going to bed? The perfect night routine. With your perfect girl.

When you got into bed, lamps were turned off, candles blown out, music off, and instead, the soothing sound of your favourite voice. Telling you that she loved you. One last 'I love you' to each other before bed. A few kisses. Then into each others arms. Curled up and falling asleep. You wished you could relive that night a million times. Relaxing, cosy, and full of love. What more could you wish for?

showering is my favourite part of the day genuinely i love getting my makeup off and doing my skincare and washing my hair it's all so relaxing and cosy🙏

and i apologise for the break i took!!! i didn't realise i was gone for so long but my college projects are harassing me💔💔 my timetable changed though so i might have a little more time since i have an extra day off (or i might not, i have a lot of damn work to do)
