2 years later……

“Brian! Watch out where you’re going!” Jenny shouted, quickly running after him.

He looked back with wide eye and smiled,

“Ma Ma” he mumbled once she caught up to him.

Jenny froze, looking at his gray eyes. She always craves to hear those words and she never thought that someone will actually call her that.

She smiled sadly and spread her arms out. She bent over and the boy rushed to her, giving her a toothy grin while doing so. She lifted him up and they went back.

“Sorry, Jen. If I can only run like you right now, then I would’ve gone after him myself. But as you can see, every step is a hardship these days” an inflated Trixie said once they reached her. She looks like she’ll explode any minute now.

Jenny smiled at her and replied,

“It’s no sweat, Trix. After all, when it comes to this sweet little boy, I’ll do anything” she said, lifting him up and tickling him at the stomach.

He burst into fits of giggles and every chuckle was music to her ears. Then she caught the sad smile her friend was giving her. Instead of saying something, she just smiled back and hugged the little boy once more.

“Hey guys” A voice from their back said. They turned in unison and saw a familiar face.

“Honey, what took you so long?” Trixie, said in return, slowly stepping closer to her husband and embracing him tight.

He hugged her back and smiled at his little boy who he saw was struggling at Jenny’s arms, looking at him with a determined face. He really reminds him of someone he used to really know.

“Well, I saw one of my friends over where we park and we ended up launching into a conversation since we haven’t seen each other for a while” he explained, letting her go and going over to Brian to pull him out of Jenny’s hold.

Jenny handed Brian to Rick and fixed her hair when a strong wind blew across the quiet and peaceful cemetery.

“So, are you ready to go?” Rick asked, busy talking to little Brian but both women knew that the question was for them.

“No, guys. You go on ahead” Jenny answered, and when Trixie gave her a curious look, she just supplied, “I just need some time alone. To think”

Trixie and Rick nodded,

“Okay. I’ll call you tonight though, alright?” Trixie said.

Once Jenny nodded, she continued,

                “Well, take care!”

                “You too”
