We've been on the bus for seven and a half hours, which most everyone has been sleeping through. We were supposed to stop about two hours ago but we decided to keep going since only two of us were up and the bus was good on gas. Though, thankfully I'm pretty sure we are about to stop.
Rachel fell back to sleep a little bit after we talked, after we officially started dating. That's great to be able to say, though we are waiting a little bit to tell the rest of the cast. Just so Rachel can get to know them better without it being awkward.
While she was sleeping she ended up lying down and now her head is on my lap. I have no idea how this happened but I haven't been able to move my legs for about four hours because I didn't want to wake her.
"Okay, listen up guys," Jeff Calhoun calls out, while standing up.
Rachel opens her eyes and I smile down at her and she smiles too.
"How'd I end up here?" She chuckles.
"I don't know, you kind of move around when-"
"I meant how'd I end up on tour with the most amazing guy," she smiles and I blush.
She sits up and we both start to listen to what Jeff is saying.
"There is a bad accident up ahead so we are taking a small detour to avoid traffic, which is going to add about another hour to the trip," he says and everyone groans. "However, we are going to make a stop in Lima, Ohio," he says and Rachel's eyes light up.
"Oh my gosh, Lima is real?" She asks while turning to me. "I thought it was just made up in Glee," she says. "I didn't know it was based off a real place. I can't wait to stop there," she says sounding like a five year-old on Christmas.
I just chuckle, she's really cute when she gets excited.
"We are going to stop for about an hour," Jeff continues. "And we will be in Chicago around seven thirty," he says, then sits back down.
"So, what are you planning to do in Chicago?" I ask. "I mean the rest of us will probably want to do touristy things, which you've probably already done," I say.
"Well, there are some things that I've always wanted to do but never could," she says. "Like take a architectural boat tour, or shop on the magnificent mile, or go to the Sky Deck in the Sears, well Willis, Tower," she says and her eyes start to light up. I love when she gets excited, it just makes me smile to see her so happy.
"Well, I bet a lot of us will love to join you for those things," I say.
"I'd be fine if just you were to join me," she quietly says.
"Well, I'd be honored," I smile while taking her hand. I play with her fingers for a bit then get serious. "What are you going to do about your siblings?"
"I don't know," she sighs. "I'll probably go back to the house and see what exactly is going on and decide from there."
"Do you want me to go with you?" I ask.
"No," she quickly says. "It's a really rough area," she says. "I don't want to put any of you guys in danger," she explains.
"But won't you be in danger if you go there by yourself?" I ask, challenging her logic.
"No, they all know me," she says.
"They?"
"The bad people," she shrugs. "They know me, they won't do anything to me, it's when new people come around they get a bit rough," she explains.
