Danielle’s P.O.V.

His hand had a firm grip around my waist as we made out way into the house. It feels good to be home. 5 days is ways to long to be stuck in a hospital for a minor concussion. Devin walked in slowly with me like I was a fragile piece of glass. He lifted me up bridal style and carried me up the stairs.

“Devin. I can walk!” I said smiling.

“I know. I just don’t want to cause you extra stress.” He said smiling down at me. He walked into my room and set me gently down on my bed.

“I’m not going to brake. You don’t have to be so cautious.” I said laughing.

“There’s no such thing as being too cautious.” He said before placing a kiss on my forehead. “Do you need anything?” He asked.

“No, I’m ok.” I said nodding.

“Are you sure?” He asked sitting next to me.

“Yea. I’m sure.” I said smiling.

“Ok. Call me if you need anything.” He said before leaving the room. This is the first time in 5 days that I’ve actually been alone other than when I went to the bathroom. I enjoyed the peace and silence, but then my mind is over run with the events that happened. I haven’t told anybody, but I was actually attacked. I don’t really know the details because it happened so fast, but I know for sure I was attacked. All I know is some dark figure came and attacked me before I blacked out. Whenever I thought about it too much I’d start getting a headache. I rubbed the spot where my wound was. It’s healed now, with a couple of stitches. When I go back for my check up in a couple of days and they remove the stitches, there will be nothing tying me to that day except my memories. Those won’t be going away for a while. For now, I just have to take in the silence and try to forget about it. The house was incredibly quiet since Jess and Mel are at school. Devin insisted on staying home with me. I didn’t really put up much of a fight. It’s nice to know I wouldn’t be alone. I heard my stomach growling. I slipped out of my bed and opened the door. I walked out of the room, but was caught.

“What are you doing?” Devin’s voice said from behind me. I turned around to see him crossing his arms.

“Getting something to eat?” I said slowly.

“No you’re not. Get back into bed. I’ll get it for you.” He said walking to me.

“No, It’s fine. There’s no need. Really.” I said.

“Yes there is a need. Get back in bed.” He said pointing at my room. I trudged back into my room before laying in my bed and turning on the TV. I turned on Spongebob, like a child. Soon enough Devin returned with a tray with a plate and a cup on it. “Ham, cheese and bacon. Toasted, just how you like it.” He said setting the tray on my lap.

“Aww thanks. I said smiling up at him.

“Anything else you need?” He asked once again.

“Well…” I said slowly.

“What is it?” He asked attentively.

“Can you um… stay with me?” I asked quietly.

“Of course pudding cup.” He said before climbing into bed next to me. I rested my head on his shoulder as we watched Spongebob.

His scent wafted in my nose as I woke up. I rubbed my eyes as I turned my head to his face. His eyes were closed and his mouth was slightly open as soft snores exited it. I slipped from under him and walked down stairs.

“Why hello there sleepy head.” Mel said noticing my presence.

“Hi.” I said yawning.

“How was your day?” Jess said appearing out of the kitchen.
