The Gifted} Ch. 1

Chapter 1: Getting a Mission.
**Reece**

"COME ON KILOS, GET YOUR ASS UP!" Our combat teacher Mr. Lowe yelled, yet again at me. I groaned in frustration. This was the third time this asshole threw me to the ground. My head wasn't in the game I guess. I flipped up and took my defence position. I was getting sick of this freaking, what's the word? Oh yeah, GORILLA!

I'm an nice size guy, 6'3 with a six pack and nice arm muscles, but this dude. He looks like the hulk, and he's like 7 feet. No joke. Okay, even I know that's a little dramatic, but this guy is still huge.

I focused on my gifts. I felt flames lick my finger tips. Oh yeah, I forgot. I'm a firebender. I am part of a special group of people that we call "Gifted". Unfortunately my opponent is a waterbender. The best male one in the school, but I know there's a female one that's better than him and could kick almost everyone's ass. I forgot her name, but she's beat Sarah before and Sarah's a great bender, just not that great when it comes to combat.

I threw a fireball at Hulk, which sadly he blocked with a water shield. This is going to harder than I thought. Bless it.

I walked into the locker rooms next to the combat room, and saw my group of friends. I am what everyone considers the "bad boy" of the gifted school or whatever, but I still have friends that aren't totally badass. First is Sarah Marshall, she's a waterbender. Sarah is a blonde hair, greened eyed beauty. Her hair falls to her shoulders. Shes not that "typical" stupid blonde, she's more nerdy than you expect when you first meet her. Shes got a bubbly personality, happy all the time it's weird not to see her smile.

Next is Snow Shadow, Nothing like snow white. In fact don't even try to compare them unless you have a death wish. Snow does have white hair, that falls to the middle of her back and grey eyes. She has tattoo's too: a sleeve on her right arm, and some random ones on her left arm. They all have meaning though. She's the badass girl of the group. Her gift is Earth. She can grow trees, plants, vines and then some, and even destroy them. She has a bit of a temper, but she's also a bubbly person just more down to earth.

After Snow, is Ethan Miller. He has raven black hair and dark brown eyes. He's the clown of the group. Now when it comes to him, he's a rarity. Which means you won't find many with his gift and if you do, than you need to befriend them. Ethan has the gift of a telepath and a shifter, so half and half. His telepathy is stronger than his shifting. His telepathy can control others minds, as he can make you do something for him or kick someone's ass, put you to sleep with a command. Its remarkable. Now shifting, he can shift into animals or sometimes other humans, but shifting into someone else is harder than you think.

Than last of us is Milo James. Milo is a dark skinned, he has brown hair that's kept short, he has hazel eyes as well. Milo is more kept to himself. Quiet, and shy around girls. We all understand why he has been mute for half of his life. He's never been outgoing and if you get him to talk, than you are a miracle worker. His gift is sunlight, along with Ethan, his gift is rare. He can move, bend and even make it sometimes.

Me? I'm not too shabby if I say so myself. I'm Reece Kilo's. I have dark brown hair, and hazel colored eyes. Again like I said, I'm the bad boy. I'm arrogant and I have a small temper. Alright, I guess its not that small. My friends say when we meet new people not to spark my anger. Yeah its a bit annoying, but I know my anger can rise higher than a third degree burn, and you can already my gift is fire.

"Yo, what was up with practice today?" Ethan asked as I sat down next to him. I began to untie my tennis shoes. I shrugged answering his question. Sarah twiddled her fingers, water moving in between them, as she scrolled through her phone.
