Chapter 10: You Learn Something New Everyday {1}

I sighed as I opened the door to my house. I just finished my run. I haven't been able to go on a run for a few days since the concussion I had. I walked into the kitchen pulling my earbuds out. Just as I walked in Rae, Dex, Dean and Iris walk in from outside, laughing. I smile and grab a water bottle from the counter.

"Hey, you just get back?" Rae asks once she spots me. I nod. I won't be able to go on many runs after this month. Next month is December and it's already getting cold. For the night we all sit and play games or watch movies. I went to bed with a smile on my face, something that didn't happen often.

I walked into school the next day with a cream colored sweater that was fuzzy on the inside, a white tank top under it, and denim skinny jeans with my combat boots. Rae was getting sick so I told her to take the day off. If felt weird without her here, usually we never go anywhere without each other. I walked to my locker and grabbed everything I need for my hours and walked into my first class, English.

I have this class with the five, all of them. Just like my last hour. I have Milo for Bio, Theater with Sarah, Home Ec. with Ethan, Math with Snow and you know my history class. All of the five were already in class when I walked in. They looked up at me with confused expressions, I knew what they were thinking. Where the hell was my partner in crime.

"Where's Rae?" Ethan asked as I walked by. I stopped and turned to him and gave me a 'Why do you wanna know' look.

"Home. Sick." I replied curtly. Since Rae wasn't here I'd have no one to calm me down if someone pisses me off. Which wasn't a good thing, but also wasn't a bad thing.

"Come sit with us." Sarah suggested as I started to turn round to go to my seat. I froze. Sarah and I never really talked, but I know she gives me nasty glares every time I'm next, talking or looking at Reece. So it gave me the suspicion that she has a crush on him.

I slowly turned around to face them, and saw that the five - besides Sarah - had shocked expressions. Me along with them. Sarah shifted uncomfortably with the stares of disbelief she was getting. Her eyes shifted from each of her friends until she looked up at me with a small smile. I slowly nodded my head and took a seat in between Reece and Snow. Sarah sat in front of me since she moved up, Ethan sat on Snow's other side and Milo sat behind me.

Reece suddenly got a look of mischief that even I knew wasn't good. His normal cocky smirk was placed on his face and that's when I knew I was in for it. Thanks Sarah!

I narrowed my eyes at Reece as he kept his finger near my side. He was looking at me with his stupid but sexy smirk. Yes, I said sexy because even I can't deny that he's one sex god. "If you poke me one more fucking time I'm-"

"You're gonna what sweetheart?" He leaned in with his eyes narrowed as well. Milo was snickering behind us, clamming his hand over his mouth so he didn't burst out laughing. Snow was doing this weird look trying to not smile. Honestly it looked like she was constipated. And Ethan was just plane out smirking. Assholes, thanks for not helping.

His closeness did have an effect, I was just trying not to show it. Before I could say anything the bell rang, and everyone started to chatter. I jumped up from my seat collected my books and stood on my chair, hopped onto the desk then Sarah's which had her letting out a squeak and then jumped from Sarah's desk to the front of the room. I sprinted out of there so fast you would have thought it was on fire.
