Chapter 14: Feeling The Shocks, Merry Christmas{2}

**Reece**

I sat on the sofa with Ethan, Snow, and Alice. Alice had her legs over my lap and was leaning against the armrest. I wasn't complaining. I usually don't like when people touch me but with her it's weird. I was okay with her legs over my lap, I was okay that she was playing with my fingers. Snow was in the same position with Ethan just on the other side of the couch, having Ethan and I next to each other.

Alice watched in amusement as all of the boys - sadly including me - fight about which movie we were going to watch. Sarah was looking at Iris weirdly, has been since they meet. Ethan had told us - mind reading thing - that she was shocked by Iris. Like it wasn't those little shocks you get when you rub your socks on the carpet and touch someone, it was full on pain.

"We should watch a horror movie." Both Snow and Rae said at the same time, they glanced at each other grinning before turning back to us. From the corner of my eye I saw Alice shrug and began tracing my fingers again, each time she did, a wave of shocks would roll through my hand. It felt nice, but weird at the same time. What the hell is- I looked at Ethan and saw he was grinning like a mad man on drugs and holding Snow's hand.

"Why the hell are you grinning?" I asked narrowing my eyes at him, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at us, including Alice. He looked at me, a mischievous look in his eyes. Oh fuck me, What now?

"Oh I don't know. Just something I read earlier." but the five of us knew what he was talking about. He was reading someone's mind and that mind would be mine. I rolled my eyes at him and turned back to everyone else. They looked at him for a second before discussing which horror movie to watch.

Iris slipped from her mom's arms and walked over to the DVD player. No one payed attention besides me, Alice, Ethan, Snow and Dex. Sarah was typing away on her phone and the rest were fighting. Iris grabbed a DVD and put it in the player. She walked over to Alice, Ethan, Snow and I. She looked at Snow asking if she could sit with her, Snow nodded. I watched as Iris crawled up and sat on Snow's legs. Snow immediately wrapped her arms around Iris's waist and pulled her so she was laying on Snow shoulder.

Alice grinned at this, you could tell she was happy that Iris was taking a liking to us. Amy looked at us for a second before turning to Dean and asking him something. He seemed a little shocked at what she asked just nodded anyway saying something. Amy looked at me and smiled.

"I want to ask if you and your group would like to come to our wedding." She said. I looked at her shocked, and so did everyone else. Alice looked at Amy for a second, then Dean then me. Waiting for my answer, I looked at Ethan. He shrugged, answering for him and Snow. I looked at Sarah who wasn't paying attention. I glared at her, I looked at Ethan and gave him a look. He rolled her eyes and sighed. We looked at Sarah and she jumped. She looked at Ethan, glaring more.

She rolled her eyes and shrugged going back to her phone, I looked at Milo for his answer. He gave a slight nod. I thought for a second. 'No thinking, you're saying yes or I will. Stop asking yourself for feelings about Alice. You like her, you have a crush on her. Deal. You might be in love with her, boo hoo. Rene was a bitch, and you were too naive back than, that and this is Alice, she nice and not a damn slut!' Ethan yelled at me in my head. I sighed and looked at Amy who was waiting for my answer.

"Yeah, we'll be there." She grinned at me and squealed. I looked at Ethan, we wasn't looking back though, more at the movie playing. 'I hope you're right' I thought. For the rest of the movie, I wasn't paying attention, just looking at Alice, thinking about it. Love. It's a weird word. We say it to express our feelings but question is, did we even know what love is? Love's just a stupid word. You fall in love with someone and they stomp on your heart. Love's just a damn metaphor that we believe in.
