Chapter 2: Holy Fire Balls, That Guy Is Drop Dead Beau- I'm Getting Off Topic
**Alice**
BEEP
BEEP
BEEP!
SOMEONE TURN OFF THE DAMN- Oh right. I slammed my hand on my alarm clock, which was probably a bad idea considering I have a short pain tolerance. I let out a yelp and jumped up holding my hand to my chest as pain shot through it. Okay so am I the only one that knows when you slam your hand on an alarm clock really hard where you almost break either the alarm clock or your hand, it hurts like a beach? Cause I do this every morning and I never learn not to... sigh.
I take off my blanket and trudge to my dresser. I tried to open a drawer, but like always I had to pull harder than should be necessary. I put my feet on the dresser and used all my strength to open the stubborn drawer. Much to my luck it opened, and much to my un-luck, when it opened I lost grip, surprised that it actually opened, and lost my footing. Which you know what that meant? I fell on my ass.
I groaned at impact. I heard a snort near my bedroom door. I looked and saw my best friend standing there holding a hand to her mouth. I rolled my eyes at her. Rae has been my friend since childhood. She is more like a sister to me. She had fire red hair that fades to orange near the tips. It has to do with her gift, fire. She stands an inch taller than me at 5'6. She has an out-going personality. I love her to death. She started to snicker and walked away without saying anything. Once down the hallway I heard her full on laughter. I rolled my eyes once again.
I stood up and plucked though my clothes trying to find an outfit. I was never the one to be girly, or be try to hard to be noticed. I grabbed some white skinny jeans with rips at the thighs and knees. I grabbed a white tank top, and a sky blue lace shirt to go over top. I walked into my bathroom and turned on my curler. My hair was wavy, but I liked it curly.
My hair was a ocean blue color, always has been since I was born. Or as far as I remember. Like Rae mine has to do with my gift, she's always had fire red and I've always had ocean blue. The ocean blue is a pretty color. My hair is sea blue with a white tint on the tips of my hair.
I changed out of my blue cookie monster pajama pants and grey t-shirt and into my outfit for the day. Waiting for my curler to heat up I put on my make-up. I did my white eye-shadow, winged eyeliner, mascara and red lipstick. I lined my eyes with white, to make my golden color eyes brighten. I curled my hair, and walked out of my room. I put on socks and my black combat boots.
I grabbed my bookbag that was white - I like the shade or whatever it's called. I walked down the hall and into the kitchen where Rae was cooking pancakes. Rae was wearing faded black skinny jeans, a red tank top and a red flannel along with her combat boots. Her hair was straightened and her bangs were in front of her face like always. Her make-up was simple. Smokey eye, with winged eyeliner, and blood red lipstick.
If you haven't noticed, our colors are based on out gifts. Mine water, her's fire. Its not like we plan it, we just like the colors. Rae looked up and smiled at me. I smiled back, her and I were different. Not just our gifts but in personalities. Everyone's scared of her because of her looks, but if you meet her she's really nice, where me. I looked nice but honestly I have the worst attitude and temper.
I don't know why that is. It could be my mom, or my dad. I wouldn't know. I've never known my parents and if I do know what happened to me, then my brain blocked the traumatic event. I was placed into a foster home when I was 5. It was where I meet Rae. They were a nice family, they had 5 kids. Me, Rae, Dex, Dean, and Amy. But I had enough at the age of 12. So I ran, Rae happened to follow me, and now we're here.
