Chapter 18: What In The World Are We Doing Here?
**Unknown** ;)

I watched the girl I knew when she was little walk out of the house with three other girls. Two adults/teenagers and a little girl that was on her back. She had a smile on her face. It was nice to see her smiling again. Especially after . . . what we put her though.

"She's strong." Scott said next to me looking at Alice. I smiled more. I was glad.

"In what way?" I asked watching as Alice put Iris down and laughed, shaking her head. She looked around, taking only a glance at the car were in. She smiled and got in the passenger seat.

"Just like her mother." He said shaking his head in amusement. My smile vanished. Mom. It was just months ago when I remember her contacting me and asking me to find Alison. Alice was so different from when she was a baby. Her hair use to be dark brown, but after mom gave Alice her powers her hair changed. I remember it like yesterday.

~Flash~

I watched as Alice came into the room with mom dad and Justin. Justin sat down next to me looking torn. Justin was three years older than me, and five years older than Alice. But we all acted like we were triplets. Dad sat on the left of me putting his arm around my shoulder and giving it a squeeze. Alice looked at mom confused.

"Alice, I need you to listen to me very closely." Mom said sternly. Alice still had the confusion in her eyes but nodded anyways. "I'm going to give you something that will change your life forever. You could get it when you're older or never get it at all. It depends. I want you to stay out of trouble, don't trust people to easily, and remember, your strong and nothing can get in your way."

Mom held out her hand for Alice to take, which she did. Mom closed her eyes. A little light started shining at their conjoined hands. Alice looked down confused. Suddenly she gasped and threw her head back her eyes all white. I watched the transition of my little sister. Her hair changing into a sea color. Behind her ear something glowed when it was done it cooled down it was a mark. It looked like a tribal symbol but it was so light it could be mistaken for a birthmark.

The light at their hands faded into nothing. Alice's head came forward and she snapped her eyes open. I gasped along with my brother and father. Mom snapped her eyes open and looked at Alice with wide eyes. Her once stormy grey eyes were now a golden color. We looked at mom with wide frantic eyes.

"What happened to her eyes?" Justin asked the question we were all thinking. Mom held confusion. She didn't know.

"Mommy, I'm feeling light headed." Alice muttered. We snapped out attention back to her. She swayed before her eyes rolled into the back of her head.

~Over~

That day we had no idea what she was. Didn't know why she had golden eyes. We still don't and we've been following her for almost 6 years. I looked back at Justin. He was reading, and grading papers. He was the new teacher for history at Alice's school. We gave the old teacher over 5 grand to retire so Justin can get the position and it worked.

**Alice**

We sang songs on the way to the tattoo shop. Yeah, when Snow said we were going there I was a bit excited. I wanted to get a new tattoo on the side of my hip and a belly button ring. Can you blame me? I love tattoos and piercings, but I've been to much of a wuss to get a piercing. I only have one tattoo but that was small and quick.

We arrived at the shop 30 minutes after singing all the songs to Fall Out Boy. We headed into the shop and looked around.

"Hello." A female voice said from the back of the store. We looked there and saw a girl with bright red hair that was in a bun, a lip, nose and eyebrow piercing and many tattoos stood back there putting things away. We greeted her back.
