Real Pain

You have not felt real pain
Till the day your best friend wasn't the same
Then everything you ever knew was washed down the drain
Now everything has changed

You have not felt real pain
Till your heart still hurts
Because the boy who left a year ago
Probably doesn't even remember your face

They say time heals all wounds
But every day I get a new one
And they all end up as scars
But scars don't fade away

You have not felt real pain
Till the day you fall in love
Just to have your heart break
You'll never be the same

You have not felt real pain
Till you have to say goodbye
To someone you love so much
And you cry and cry and cry

I wish I never felt real pain
I wish life was rainbows and sunshine
I wish I never felt real pain
But happiness runs out of time
