Someone once told me
That my expectations of a man
We're just way too high
And that I would never find someone
Someone willing to put up with me
Someone who meets my standards
But I didn't think I was asking for much
I thought my expectations were reasonable
All I want is
Someone who knows I am equal to them
Someone who will adventure with me
Someone who will argue with me
Someone who will let me win at times
Someone who will be honest with me
Someone who is not offensive
Someone who knows right from wrong
Someone who laughs often
Someone who won't leave when it gets tough
Someone who is determined
Someone who gives all the love in the world
Someone who enjoys helping others
Someone who loves animals
Someone who expects me for me
And if that is too much to ask for
Then I would rather be alone anyway
