You Know It's Broken

She smelt of mango vodka and raspberry rum
People asked what she was doing
She said she was having fun
They asked if she was okay
She said that she was fine
They didn't know that alcohol was the cure
To get them off her mind

She knew her heart was broken
When 7 shots and 4 cups
Caused a sickness in her stomach
When the sun came up
But that feeling is nothing
Compared to the night they told her
They were talking

Her heart shattered
Into pieces on the floor
They tried to take the bottle
But she sneaks a couple more
Said it was time to stop
But she wouldn't put it down
They swore she would drink the whole thing
Then she would drown

So she sat there with her vodka
And the rum right by her side
This was the first night in a long time
That she had not cried
