Love

I can't just unlove him
It doesn't work that way
Just because he's yours now
Doesn't mean these feelings go away

You can have him
He's all yours
But just because he wants you
Doesn't mean I can shut these doors

I hate how I loved him
I really truly did
And I know you never will love him
You treat him like a kid

I love him more
More than you ever could
I loved him then I love him now
I had a feeling I always would

But now he's gone
Now he has you to hold
But I know you won't love him
When he starts to grow old

Now I don't mean gray hair
Or wrinkles on his face
I mean when he become wise
And his childishness is erased

You want him because he listens
As loyal as a dog
But what about his smile
So bright you could see it through fog

And he's yours now
Yet you will not treat him well
You are embarrassed of his actions
Even though he is quite swell

He's a child at heart
But has a mind like no other
You under appreciate him
When you're supposed to love each other

But you will never ever ever
Feel the way I do
I highly doubt these words will leave your lips
"I love you"
