Chapter 10

*Steven's POV*

"Lauren," I whispered softly, shaking a sleeping Lauren's shoulder. "Lauren," I said a bit louder, still not earning a response. I propped myself up over her on the bed and leaned down, showering her beautiful face in kisses.

"Mmm," she sighed with a small smile.

"Babe, it's time to get up now. Everyone's already awake downstairs." She shifted positions under the covers and stretched for a moment. "It's almost noon."

"Noon? Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" She asked, finally opening her eyes.

I smiled down at her. "You just looked so peaceful so I didn't wake you." Lauren slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes before rubbing her fingers through her messy hair. A small chuckle slipped through my lips, earning a look from Lauren. "You've got major bed head."

"I'll give you a bed head." She smirked and extended her hands to let her fingers tangle in my hair. A smile tugged at my lips as they pressed against hers. Her tongue licked my bottom lip, asking for entrance, which I quickly gave to her. Our tongues fought for dominance until I pulled away to trial gentle kisses down Lauren's neck as she fell back to lay down on the bed. I left a small mark on her collarbone and her fingers tugged on my hair.

"I love you, babe," I whisper against her skin, bringing my lips back up to hers.

"Mmm." She pulled away and brushed the hair that dangled down in my eyes behind my ear. "I love you too."

I took her hand and kissed each one of her knuckles before helping Lauren up. "Now I've gotta brush my hair again," I fake whined, looking at my hair through the mirror.

Lauren gave me a smirk before pecking my lips. "I think your hair looks hot like that," she said, still grinning.

"Yeah, well the public would beg to differ," I replied, making us both laugh. I grabbed my brush from the dresser and began to brush through my messed up hair while Lauren got out fresh clothes from the closet and changed.

After we were both done, I took Lauren's hand in mine and we headed down the stairs to where Emmie and the twins were. "Thanks for watching them, Em," I said and Emmie nodded in return, still not wanting to talk.

Emmie stood up and quickly rushed over to Lauren, pulling her into a tight hug. "Hey, Em," Lauren said, slightly surprised by how fast Emmie came at her with a hug. "You okay?" Emmie shrugged in response and pulled Lauren over to the couch to sit with her.

Then the home phone started to ring, so I went to answer it. "Hello?"

"Hey Steven, it's Robert."

"Oh hey Robert," I said.

"So I called to tell you that there was a change in plans for the filming schedule this week, and you and Lauren will be needed on the set tomorrow and then next day, so you will have the weekend off instead. And because it's such short notice, Emily's coming to the set this week while she's in Georgia, and she's gonna look after the twins," he said as I quickly took all the information in.
