Nightmares (Jai Brooks)

I'm starting school tomorrow and I am completely and utterly terrified. In other words it's mine and @1Dniallerr 's 1 year friendiversity! Love ya Cara.

Prompts: Love your one shots, you're a great writer :) Could you do a Janoskians one where Jai has been having nightmares and not sleeping well and the other boys notice and try to help him overcome the nightmares? Brotherly fluff? thank you xx

Ever since Ariana broke up with Jai, he had been having dreams that his friends would leave him too. To him, the dreams were more like nightmares. His brothers would constantly pop up with their mom telling him how worthless he was or how he a terrible younger brother and Daniel and James come in saying that he was a horrible singer and that he didn't deserve to be in the Janoskians.

The dreams caused Jai to avoid sleeping. He would creep on twitter or just stare into space to fill time. Of course the boys noticed, but whenever they confronted Jai about it, he would just shrug it of with a half assed answer. After a while though they guys decided not to put up with it, they were on tour and they needed Jai at full energy not withdrawn or tired during the remaining shows.

"Lie die" Beau ordered as James threw a pillow at him. Jai looked to Luke and Daniel who were sitting on the couch opposite of where he was sitting, giving them a confused look.

"Why" Jai asked making eye contact with his older brother who, he noticed, had a thin blanket in his hand.

"Cause you need sleep" Beau stated walking over to Jai and lying him across the couch he was sitting on and placing the pillow under his head. "I know you haven't been"

Jai wanted to protest but he saw that all of his boys looking at him with hopeful eyes. Jai sighed knowing that the boys wouldn't let him stay awake. He rolled over, so his face was towards the couch rather the facing the boys and closed his eyes when he saw that one of them turned off the lights.

"No" Jai muttered quietly repeating it several times over. Daniel's ears perked and he looked towards Jai realizing that they were the only two in the room. Confused he flicked on the lights, to see that Jai was still asleep.

I must have been hearing things, Daniel thought as he went to turn the lights back on.

"Stop" Jai screeched, before quiet cry of "please" fought its way out.

Daniel got up a got up and shook Jai awake, not noticing the tear tracks on his friends face.

"Skip" Jai cried, quickly clinging on to him and crying into his neck.

Daniel hugged back slightly confused, it had been a while since any of the boys had called him Skip, but rocked the boy slowly muttering 'it's okay' in his ear repentantly.

"Guys?" James asked confused. He frowned at them and picked Jai up while Daniel stepped out to call Jai's older brothers.

Jai didn't care about being treated like a baby because right now he knew that the boys cared about him.

"Jai" Luke asked walking to his twin brother, and holding his hand, "What's wrong?"

Jai saw Beau walking over and taking James's seat on he other side of Jai, while James and Daniel went to the opposite couch.

"What's wrong" Beau asked, Jai had stopped crying at this point and just had his head in his hand.

"Why do you hate me" Jai choked out, he Knew that a person didn't need to like you to care about you.

"What" Beau paused, "Babe did you have a nightmare"

Jai nodded, "Y-you all left me and were being mean, m-mom wa-was there and she dis-" He stopped and started breathing harder, as Luke pulled him into a tight hug.

"Aw Jai we love you" Luke told Jai as his twin cried into his neck.

"But Ariana said-"

"Well fuck what Ariana said" Daniel interjected jumping up, he was already pissed at her for cheating on Jai. (a/n I totally respect Ariana btw)

James pulled him back down to the couch to make sure that he didn't scare Jai with his outburst. He shakes his head at Daniel silently telling him not now and just to let the brothers handle Jai right now.

"Is that why you haven't been sleeping," Beau asked, Jai nodded.

"Hey Beau remember when we were little, I used to have nightmares all the time." Luke said an idea popping into his head. "You would always come to our room and we'd build a pillow fort together and then I'd have good dreams cause you guys were right next to me. Maybe it will work now"

Beau smiled at the childhood memories and happily announced, "Boys we're having a sleepover tonight"

In the backroom of the tour bus the boys were moving cushions of couches and stacking pillow to make walls. After the fort was a decent size they all crawled in, struggling to all fit at once. Beau turned on a movie from where he was and let the twins lean onto him, while James and Daniel were on either sides of them. Slowly, but surely all the boys fell asleep and despite all entire fort falling on them in the middle of the night, it had been the best sleep any of them have gotten in a while.
