Weekend Trip (Jai Brooks)

Prompt: I love your one-shot book and was wondering if you'd write this prompt: It's winter time and the boys go on a trip to the mountains. They get to the lodge they are staying at and run outside almost instantly. Playing in the snow for hours they finally went up to their room. That night Jai doesn't feel well and gets a cold. It's up to the boys to make sure this trip is still fun for Jai, even if he can't go outside.(if you couldn't tell it's about the Janoskians, and it's Jai centric)

Jai should have listened to his older brother, he should have known better and he defiantly should have worn more then one jacket.

"Jai go put on another coat" Beau told Jai as they walked towards the door. Jai shrugged off his older brother's suggestion and ran outside into the snow, his hoodie getting soaked almost immediately.

The five boys had planned a trip to the mountains for a few days to just have fun with out media or their fans interrupting them. They were just going to hang out without the pressure of making a video.

They played in the snow for a few hours, forgetting about everything and just living in the moment. Then they headed inside and made hot chocolate, thawing out their numb fingers and warming up their bodies. Jai hadn't changed out of his wet clothes, he didn't give it a second thought, he just sat in them watching a movie before taking a shower and sitting in his bed.

It's fine, I won't tell them, Jai thought to himself when he felt a tickle in his throat. By midnight Jai he was getting sick, he had woken up Daniel and James, who he was sharing a room with, with his load coughing. When the next cough attack hit, James flipped the lights on knowing that all three of them were awake.

"You okay, Jai" James asked while walking back to his bed.

"I'm fine" Jai croaked wincing at the sound of his hoarse voice.

"No, you're sick" Daniel stood up and walked over to Jai to feel for a fever, "Or at least getting sick"

"Okay," Jai admitted, "Maybe I am, but don't tell Beau"

"Oh kid" Beau was leaning against the door frame, smirking, "They don't need to"

Jai blushed a bright red, but just as Beau was about to go into his speech of I told you so's he was pulled out of the room. He came back with his bag in his hand.

"You're bunking with Luke" Beau rolled his eyes and dumped his stuff on the bed.

Jai nodded and grabbed his bag of the floor and ran into the other room, into the arms of his twin brother.

"Beau's mad at me" Jai frowned while clinging on to Luke.

He pulled away suddenly and started coughing into his elbow, as Luke rubbed his back. Tears fought their way to Jai's eyes.

"My throat hurts, Lukey" Jai let the tears fall freely rather then holding them back like he usually would.

"I know, bud" Luke cooed taking Jai hand, he let him to a bed. "Let's go to sleep now yeah?"

Jai nodded, letting Luke lie down first and cuddling into him before falling strait asleep.

The next day Luke stayed inside with Jai and they had a YouTube marathon, since Jai couldn't go outside while he was sick. The day after that, James and Daniel stayed in, and they played board games while watching Netflix.

It was the last day of the trip and Jai had had a good time, despite getting sick. He wanted to go out again, but Luke wouldn't let him, saying that he would just get worse if he did, so when he woke up he expected that Luke would be their with him.

"Luke?" Jai spoke softly, despite his voice carrying throughout the cabin. "Skip? James?" Jai turned the corner. It was Beau, Jai ran back to his room catching the attention of Beau who followed him.

"What's wrong, Jai?" Beau asked through a closed door.

"You're mad at me" Jai huffed. It made since, since he hated when anyone was made at him and just avoid them until he thought it blew over.

"I'm not mad at you," Beau said as he tried to pick the lock, he succeeded, "Why would you think that"

"I didn't listen to you, I got sick, and you were being mean to me, you haven't talked to me in three days" Jai listed.

"I'm not mad, I promise" Beau ruffled Jai's hair, "And in my defense you didn't talk to me either"

Jai rolled his eyes. "This weekend was fun" He admitted, "Can we do it again"

"Yeah" Beau smiled, "But only if you wear more then one jacket"
