Homesick (Luke Hemmings)

Panic attack due to school count: 2

Panic attacks are sucky cause you can only focus on one thing and that is the feeling of dying so I forgot about this until late last night, luckily I was already half way done. Hope you enjoy this! :)

Prompt: Hey, I absolutely adore you're writing. Can you please write a 5sos oneshot where Luke gets homesick and the boys comfort him. Xx

"You okay, Lukey" Michael said looking up from his laptop, the two boys were in their shared hotel room by themselves since Calum and Ashton were out.

"Huh" Luke looked up from the phone he was frowning at, "Yeah, Mikey. What are you doing?" Luke turned his phone off and placed it on a chair.

"Playin' Sims"

Luke sat on the bed next to Michael, bouncing slightly on the mattress as he leaned against the headboard. Michael put his arm around Luke, Luke then shifted to lean into his older friend. The two sat for a while, giggling as the commentated Michael's sim's life.

"Ash throw me my phone" Luke yelled when he and Calum walked in. Ashton sighed mumbling a quiet pushy, but walked the phone over to Luke anyway because he didn't want to risk the device hitting his little brother in the face.

"Thank you" Luke sang, forgetting why he put his phone away in the first place. Punching his password in Luke saw his screen was still on his personal facebook timeline. He was confused to why until he remembered that he and his brothers were having a contest to see who could find the most embarrassing pictures of any of the three of them. Luke had put his the homesickness he was starting to feel.

Luke frowned when Ashton started giggling knowing that the attention wouldn't be on him. He moved to the couch bringing his knees to his chest deciding to scroll through his twitter timeline to take his mind off of his family. He started getting notifications on his phone from Calum and Michael tweeting each other, he shook his head at him, knowing that they were sitting next to each other in real life, yet chose to tweet rather then talk aloud.

Late at night, Ashton was awoken by quiet sniffles somewhere in the room. He knew it wasn't Michael who was (probably) crying because the younger boy was watching videos on his phone right next to him. So he stood up, causing Michael to look up in confusion, and walked towards the other bed that Calum and Luke were sharing.

"Lukey" Ashton asked when he saw a few tears on his cheeks from the illuminated screen. He ran to turn on the lights making Michael groan and Calum shoot awake.

"Ash what th-" Ashton cut Calum off.

"Luke's crying" Ashton stated walking to the bed as Michael slowly did the same.

"No I'm not" Luke mumbles sitting up and frantically rubbing his eyes.

Calum shifted closer to Luke and pulled him into a hug as Ashton and Michael on either side of them making it a (sort of) group hug.

"What's wrong" Ashton asked.

"Nothing Ashy" Luke said, causing the boys to know that Luke was lying because he only called Ashton that when he was upset.

"Luke" Michael warned, going into protective best friend mode.

"I miss my family," Luke whispered, "I know it's stupid, but I haven't seen the in weeks"

"No Luke it's not stupid at all" Calum starts, "We're all really young we're allowed to miss our family"

The four boys cuddled for the rest of the night.

On the next concert day, Ashton, Michael, and Calum had a surprise for Luke. They had flown his older brother Jack out to San Diego to surprise him.

"Okay so this is the part of the show where we usually had a member from the audience come join us on stage" Calum starts.

"But today is a little different" Michael continued. "We have a surprise for little Lucas, Ash?"

Ashton covered Luke eyes as Jack walked on stage and Michael shushed the crowd. "And open them" Calum yelled as Ashton moved his hands away.

"Jacky" Luke screamed letting the nickname slip out. He took his guitar off, then ran to his brother and hugging his tightly. "I missed you" He whispered putting his head in his brother's neck

"I missed you too, bud" Jack pulled away spotting the tears in Luke's eyes and wiping them away. "The boys said you were homesick, so they brought home to you, I hope that's okay"

Luke nodded enthusiastically a smile spread across his face, "It's perfect" he whispered before waddling towards his best friends that were a few feet away and attacking them with hugs.
