It was a week before my birthday, and Bill doesn't talk to girls anymore. How low standards i have, to be grateful for that? I shouldn't have to ask that, but thinking about it doesn't change my answer so I should just discard the whole idea of feeling victimized.
No, I would be grateful if it weren't for Olivia, That's why I don't feel satisfied. She joined our friend group which I don't have a say in but bill gives her all the attention, gustav and georg aswell, and surprisingly tom to. I'm upset because i feel ripped off, i feel like i lost everyone.
Bill walks me home from time to time but he feels so far away. There's a silence that is loud.
Sera: "Bill can i tell you something?" I said holding his hand as he walks me towards my house.
Bill: "yeah" he said not giving me a glance.
Sera: "I feel as if I don't matter to you"
Bill: "you do baby i really love you, im upset you don't see it" he said looking at me with sweet eyes.
Sera: "Alright bill, I'm sorry I didn't see it, I love you aswell" i said with a warm smile.

As if.
I'm not stupid, I never was, I just decided to turn a blind eye.
Sera: "Cristina invited me to stay a weekend with her, she wanted to have a party" i said with a smile, examining his reaction.
Bill: "have fun baby" he said indifferently.

I gritted my teeth. Till how long do I have to fight to make you feel something towards me? Love and hate are awfully similar and even if I cause you ill feelings I know that at least you are acknowledging me, but what kills me is your indifference towards me.
At least you showed you cared through your jealousy, and without a hint you no longer feel so strongly for me.
Take pity on me bill and leave me. I suffer far too much with you but I don't have the courage to do it.

The events leading up to my birthday party were uneventful, to say the least. The whole group prepared it so all i had to do was wait. It was going to be at bill's house and it started at 10 pm. It was 8 pm already and i started to get ready, i was not excited at all, my self pity started swallowing me whole.

✩ Knock knock ✩

Mother: "Seraphina! Your friend is here" My mother yelled.

my friend? Tom hasn't come by in a while so i was curious.i walked towards the front door and i saw my mother and Cristina hugging and greeting each other, i felt saved.
Sera: "Cristina!" I said as I runned up to her to embrace her.
Cristina: "sera i missed you!" She said hugging me tightly.
Sera: "what brings you here? I didn't expect you would come all the way" i said confused.
Cristina: "your birthday silly, I can't leave you all alone, anyways im just sleeping over for a few days" she said winking.
Sera: "right, mother can she sleep her for a while? "I asked hesitantly.
Mother: "that's fine just don't be to loud" she said as she said bye to Cristina to retire for the night.

Cristina: "im sorry if its to much trouble, and i know your mom doesn't know you are going to a party" she said laughing .
Sera: "not at all" i said fallowing her to my room.

we started both to get ready, and i felt so comforted as she styled my hair and did my make up.

Cristina: "so what's new?"she said worryingly
Sera: "It's a little much" i said looking down at the floor.
Cristina: "well we have time" she said smiling as she hugged me.
I explained everything, my most inner thoughts and my most horrible feelings, I wasn't afraid to tell her.
Cristina : " sera"
Cristina: "i am here now, and you know i wont leave you alone, enjoy today sera. I will make sure you feel safe with me" she said hugging me tightly.
Sera: "thank you Cristina, i don't know what i would of done if you would've been here" i closed my eyes in her embrace.

Me and Cristina looked beautiful, we both wore similar outfits that fitted us perfectly. We sneaked out of the window and started to walk towards bill's house, it was a bit cold but not sufficient to make us cover up.
As we entered, the party had already started, it was somewhat big and lively.
Bill quickly spotted me enter through the door and walked up towards me, hugging me and kissing me deeply.
Bill: "happy birthday my love" he said gently caressing my face.
Sera:"thank you, I can't believe you prepared such a beautiful party for me" i said kissing him once again.
Bill: "Ofcourse! Oh you brought Cristina" he said as he hugged her.
Cristina: "nice to see you again " she said paying no mind to him.
Bill: "well have fun baby" he said kissing my cheek and heading back to Olivia and tom.
Cristina: "what a joke" she said angrily.
Sera: "i know" i was angry, shouldn't he be with me?

For the first hour me and Cristina had a fun time together, regardless if bill was there or not, we drank and danced most of the time. I was slowly gaining back my independence.
Tom suddenly walk out of the crowd and sat next to me and Cristina, he sat there quietly, till Cristina broke the silence.
Cristina: "wow that guy is handsome!" She said as she walked off to drink with a random guy.
Me and tom sat in silence and it was getting so uncomfortable I stood up to leave aswell. i remember i was not mad at him but I knew he was at me.
Tom: "you don't want to sit with me?" He said holding my arm, stopping me from leaving.
Sera: "..." i didnt know what to say or what he wanted so i sat back down.
Sera: "are you still mad at me" i said after a moment of silence.
Tom: "maybe, but I can't leave you alone" he said tucking my hair behind my ear.
Sera: "im sorry tom, for not being a good friend to you, but don't come here because you pity me. I know what im getting myself into and you wouldn't understand it and i know that makes you mad" i said with teary eyes.
Tom: "i care for you sera, its not pity i promise"
Tom: "im sorry, only you know what you are feeling, I shouldn't make you explain" he said putting his arm around me.
Tom: "i was just jealous" he said softly.
Before i could even respond, Olivia came up to us with animosity.

Olivia: "tom! Why don't we go dance?!" she said excitingly
Tom: "im sorry go ask someone else im really tired" he said laughing.
Olivia: "Awww sera just wants to keep you for herself" she said with a pouty face.
Sera: "what??" My face could not hide my disgust.
Olivia: "then can i speak with sera, its been so long i missed her!" She said squeezing in between tom and me.
Tom: "yeah that's fine Olivia" he said as he stood up confused and walked off.

Olivia: "sera i have something very important to ask" she said with sparkling eyes and a pouty face.
Sera: "yeah what is it?" I wondered
Olivia: "does tom have a girlfriend?" She smirked and blushed.
Olivia: "see, i have a huge crush on tom, since i first heard their music and i know i can make him mine"

My heart dropped, but why?? My silence was loud and I could not react appropriately.

Olivia leaned closer to my ear "surely you didn't think you could keep both of them" she whispered with her true sadistic voice.
I felt chills down my spine, as if she knew me inside out.
Sera: "I really don't know what you are insinuating, but rather than pointing things at me you should ask tom yourself, nothing's stopping you right? "I said smirking.
Sera: "he tells me everything and last I heard he has no girlfriend?" I shrugged.
Sera: "if he rejects you, then at least you know you were the problem, if so maybe you should dye your hair black and change your aesthetic- Oh! Maybe you should pretend to be me" i smirked as i got up and left.
