3rd Person POV:
Wendy sat in between Robin and Steve in the front of the van.
"Robin, can you please roll down the window?" Wendy asked.
"Gladly," Robin said, rolling down the window and they both gasped at the 'fresh' air.
"What are you doing? You're gonna get more of those floaty things in here," Steve chided as he drove.
"It's either that or pass out," Robin breathed.
"Steve, you stink," Wendy said. "Like more than usual. Like this is just..just..I don't even have a word for it, it's so gross!"
"Oh, really?" Steve asked, outstretching one hand towards her face.
"Ew! Gross! Steve!" Wendy cried out, pressing towards Robin to get away. "You're gonna get Mind Flayer juice on me!"
The sound of honking got their attention, Murray and Hopper flying past them and cutting them off in their own vehicle.
"Assholes," The three of them muttered, simultaneously raising their middle fingers to the car in front of them.
Wendy wasn't satisfied, reaching over and honking the horn.
"Okay, okay, quit it," Steve swatted her away.
They all approached the Mack Z, going through the large Gate before the truck lurched and Steve swerved trying to get it under control. Steve stopped the truck, grabbing Wendy's arm.
"You guys okay?" Steve asked.
"Yeah," Wendy and Robin nodded.
Steve's door was opened, soldiers with guns pointed at them.
"Outta the truck!" The soldier shouted at them. "Outta the truck! Hands where I can see them!"
They were forced out of the truck, being shoved against the truck with the others. Wendy cried out when a soldier practically slapped her against the side of the truck.
"Hey, don't push her like that!" Steve said loudly.
"Shut up!" The soldier shouted.
"Don't tell him to shut up!" Wendy shouted. "Fucking pig!"
Wendy looked around the best she could, expecting to see soldiers carrying a thrashing El but she didn't.
"Where's the girl?!"
"They didn't find her," Wendy said in relief. "She got away."
"Mike!"
"Get off me! Get off me!"
"Mike, stop!"
"El! El! No! El!"
Wendy, Steve, and Robin perked up in alarm. They looked around before seeing at the other side of the Gate was El.
"Eleven!" Wendy screamed, ducking under the soldier's arms and running towards the Gate.
Wendy was tackled onto the ground, the soldier trying to restrain and cuff her but she got her arm free and punched him in the jaw. She pushed him off but before she could get up on her feet, she was grabbed once more by two soldiers.
"No! Get off of me!" Wendy wailed as she thrashed in their hold. "El! Please!"
It all happened so fast. There was a flash of blinding light, a harsh wind, and before they all knew it, the Upside Down was gone. El with it.
