Chapter 11: Don't Go There

EMILY

I had to phone them,I had to tell Spencer and Hanna that we had finally discovered who Charles  was.First I dialled Spencer's number,and after what seemed like forever,she finally picked up.

"Hey Em,what's up?"

"Are you sitting down?"

"Yes,I'm sitting down.Why?What's wrong?What's happened?"

"We found out who Charles is"

"WHAT?Really,Emily?Like for certain?"

"Yes,for certain,he's been arrested"

"Well who is it?"

"Ezra is Charles"

"Ezra as in Mr.Fitz Ezra"

"Yeah,Mr.Fitz,Ezra"

"Oh my god,Em,I'll be home tomorrow we have to talk in person".The line then went dead.After a few seconds,I got a text from Spencer, 'I will be home tomorrow,I promise'.

Ten minutes after talking to Hanna,who had broke down in floods of tears,I headed up to Alison's room,were Aria was asleep  on the bed.As I came into the room,Aria sat up in the bed.

"Is Ali back yet?" she wondered.

"She's only been gone ten minutes Aria" I reminded her.She started to cry again and she gestured for me to hug her.

"Why didn't he ask to see me?Why Ali?I was his girlfriend,we had something special,I thought he loved me".I sat down on the bed beside Aria and held her hand.We both lay down and looked up at the ceiling,and I could feel everything bubbling up.I began to cry and Aria hugged me.Why had Ezra done this to us,what had we ever done to him?Why did he lie to Aria again and again?

"I thought Ezra was A when he said he was writing the book about Alison,but part of me wanted to trust him so much,that I pushed the thought to the back of my head,and he seemed to love me so much that I thought he couldn't possibly be A" Aria admitted.

"Out of all the people who crossed my mind while thinking of A,Ezra was not one of them,he was so genuine and caring,or at least he seemed like it" I sighed.My phone buzzed on my lap.It was a text from Ali,'I'll phone you when I leave the station'.Aria looked over my shoulder and read the text

"I need to see him,can we please go to the station,please?" Aria begged.

"We'll go and wait outside the station in my car,but you are not going in to see him"I warned her as we got off the bed.

"Do you think this whole time I'd been dating Ali's brother?" Aria wondered.

"If Ezra is actually Charles DiLaurentis,the question is not only why did he date you,why did he date his own sister?" I answered.

"Let's not even go there" Aria replied,looking like she was going to be sick.

We headed down the stairs and out the front door,and across the street to my house.Jason was sat on my porch when we arrived there.

"Ezra is Charles?" he questioned,standing up when he saw us.

"Yeah,apparentely so"Aria answered.Jason's phone beeped and he checked it.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I saw Jason's facial expression change.

"Ali just text me,Ezra wants to see me as well".
