(G/n) - grandfather's name

In the back of Kevin's car I laid with my head on Ben's shoulder, ignoring the bumps that tried to jolt me from my spot. The night's moon rose higher in the sky and I was beginning to feel the draw of sleep even as we pulled off the main road.
This worn and torn part of Bellwood was dark and empty this time of night, but we were here on yet another lead or mission. Something I skipped out on listening to when Ben explained it because I had been woken up to join him and the others.
Kevin finally parked, Ben tapping my shoulder to get me up. I groaned at the warehouse he pointed at through the window.
"Ben, you sure this is the place?" Kevin asked as we left his car behind.
"That's what the tip said." Ben answered over his shoulder.
"Yeah, that's what worries me. You don't get tips, I get tips. Heck, I'll even take (Y/n) weird senses over your tips. You got no connections." Kevin spat in a whisper.
"I find high offense to that statement, and so does (Name)." I grumbled.
Kevin shrugged completely unbothered.
"Come on Kevin. I've got connections." Ben argued back, throwing his hands wide in exasperation.
"Yeah, like who?"
"Umm, uhh, like Gwen, (Y/n)."
Kevin looked to us. I just rolled my eyes, shooting Ben a glare a he grinned helplessly. Gwen beside me folded her arms over her chest with a snort. "It's true, he does know me."
"A lot of support there guys. Thanks."
"You woke me up after promising me a movie marathon. You'll take what I have." I thought longingly of my bed where Ben and I had made a nest of blankets and pillows. The popcorn left to cool without anyone to eat it. I sighed.
"You fell asleep. What does it matter anyways?"
I shot him a glare that had him snapping his mouth closed. It even looked like he bit his tongue as he winced, rubbing at his jaw.
What he gets, ditching movie night.
Gwen tried to smooth over the tension in the group by smiling. Her own suggestion taking root, "We could just go take a look and see." She took the lead, holding out her hands and summoning forth thin sheets of pink mana.
Ben, Kevin, and I all followed as they spiraled up to the warehouse roof. As we got to the top, Ben brushed against my arm and leaned into my ear.
"I really am sorry. I just don't want anything bad to happen while we're not vigilant."
"Doesn't mean we have to give up comfort, Ben." I snapped. His sad puppy eyes and frown had me softening. "Sorry, I just....haven't gotten to sleep well since meeting Bellicus and Selena."
Ben's face fell even further at the mention of his other halves. "Yeah, I bet having their comments in your head doesn't help."
"I can't hear them, but what if they know even more than what they shared? What if they know my dad? Or, I guess dads?" I shook my head as it already began to swarm with unanswered questions. "Point is, spending time with you was the first time that I pushed those questions to the back of my mind."
"What about this? As soon as we finish up here we go back and pick up where we left off?" Ben asked, bumping his shoulder against me with a boyish grin.
"That sounds wonderful."
"Hey lovebirds, if you're done whispering sweet nothings to each other we got an issue." Kevin whisper shouted to us.
