Sitting on Ben's bed with my science textbook open and a notebook tossed to the side, I stared at Gwen's back as she dug through his closest. Ben rolled around in his own spot at the computer, a brow raised in concern.

Lifting a sock in disgust, Gwen tossed it aside before continuing to dig.

Ben had enough, huffing as he laid his head against his chair. "Tell us about this message already, Gwen. We've got homework."

"It's actually starting to get concerning." I piped up. "With how you rushed in here..." I trailed off as Gwen paused.

"Let's just wait for Kevin." She snapped, lifting a box up from the closest. "Then I don't have to tell it twice."

"Was it an email?" Ben asked. "Just let us read it."

"A telepathic SOS sent through my energy field." Before we could respond, the redhead lifted up a familiar toy with a grin. "Oh look! A Dollhouse! This one even has a tutu on."

Ben leapt from his chair, racing to snatch it from Gwen. The closer I looked the better I realized what it actually was, the Sumo Slammers Battle Ring Ben and I would fight over in Elementary School.

"It's not a dollhouse! It's a Sumo Slammers' battle ring!"

"With dolls in it. Ones even dressed the part."

"Oh, that was my doing." I muttered, finally setting aside the textbook to stand with a stretch.

Ben's scowl deepened. My own grin grew wider. "Ben kept claiming they hadn't been dolls then stated my own toys were too girly at the time. So, I hot glued a tutu onto the Slammer. Ben cried for days afterwards."

"'Cause it's a collectible! Not Dolls!"

Gwen raised a brow with a smirk, holding the little ring further from Ben's reach. "They look like doll to-AH!" She dropped the ring, hands coming to clutch at her head.

Both Ben and I sobered, frowning at each other than Gwen. "You okay?" Ben asked, laying a hand gently on his cousin's back.

Gwen opened her eyes, they were pure pink as she staggered away from the touch. "Something coming in." In the air, right before us a plane of pink sparked to life, in it static bounced and other colors bled through.

Blue, greens, and blacks shuffled about until eventually a familiar face greeted us. Helen peered through, urgency clear as her shoulder hunched up and she kept speaking despite sound still not connecting. Then it did.

"Can you hear me, Gwen? Did you find Ben? We need help!"

"Helen?" Ben and I shouted.

At the same time, Ben's door opened and in walked Kevin. He took one look at the pink mana and his shoulder's fell. "Holograms? It's never like I come over, and you're just playing video games or something."

"It's not like we're exactly normal, Kevin." I shot back.

He shrugged as he came to stand at our side. "Point taken."

Helen continued to speak, "I can't hear you."

"Helen, I'm right here!" Ben shouted.

"You guys, if you're getting this message, it's important. Please help us!" Helen shouted back.

Gwen groaned, and I looked to see her with her eyes closed and hands clenched at her side. "Hard to focus...can't keep connection."

"Here, let me help." I mumbled, stars surfacing on my skin as I laid a hand on Gwen's back. I began to push energy through to her, watching as the mana strengthened.
