Author note: I never actually hated Julie as a character. I think she had a lot of potential that just kinda fell flat when she did get screen time. Anyway that's why I write her as a good friend for Ben and (Y/n). Also, I totally just added too much to (Y/n)'s background. They really are living up to their title of Y/N. Sigh.

Studying was the worse, even with a patient tutor like Julie.
Leaning back on the couch in Ben's living room, I tapped away at the top of my notebook. Noise and a distraction from the numbers laid out on the page, each one furthering my confusion as Julie's neat handwriting outlined where I got the formulas wrong and what I did right.
I tipped my head back, tilting it just enough to gaze past the back of said girl's head, meeting bright green eyes that were also sneaking to meet my own. Ben grinned, dimple showing as he rolled his eyes playfully.
I stuck my tongue out before sitting up again. Reaching for the coffee table to grab another chili and cheese covered fry from Ben's favorite chain fast food. The grease practically dripping off the thing making it almost unappetizing. I still ate it anyway.
Ben leaned forward too, reaching for one of the pieces of chocolates lined up in front of him. He popped it in his mouth with a wink.
I turned my head away with a blush.
The only upside of this study session came from the reward system I had created to get Ben to sit down and actually do the work. Each chocolate rewarded to him meant a right answer, and what Julie didn't know, a kiss for everyone too.
There were currently more than ten, minus the one he had just ate.
"Are you guy listening?" Julie voice finally cut in. Her own voice muffled behind a bite of fry. "The kid weighs 25 kilograms, 3 meters per second, 2 meters from the center of the merry-go-round."
"Wait, wait, wait. Let me write it down!" I scrambled to grab a pencil.
"Same." Ben nodded, beginning to write the problem down.
"I have to say, you guys are catching on quick even with the late night fighting. Especially you Ben! For some reason your right answers have risen tonight." Julie cheered us on.
"Yeah..." Ben nodded absently.
The door swung open before I could talk, in stalking Gwen. Behind her Kevin sauntered in with a proud grin. He leaned himself against the wall as the three of us seated stared in surprise.
"Congratulations, Tennyson. You're finally putting the Omnitrix to maximum use -- you know, clandestine butt-kicking wise. You --"
Kevin didn't get to finish as Gwen pushed past him looking beyond angry. She glared Ben and I down.
Julie leaned back after snatching up the fry box, probably knowing this had to do with those late night fights of saving the Earth. Ben and I looked to each other, confused.
Ben answered. "What are you talking about?"
"Nice try. We say as Jetray flying away from a battle. And (Y/n) I thought you were keeping him in line." Gwen spat.
"What? I'm not Ben's keeper, and we still have no idea what you're even talking about."
Ben rushed to defend us, picking up his physics textbook as proof. "Look, we've been studying all week for a physics test tomorrow. It's my worst subject. (Y/n)'s been working on math." I lifted my own notebook covered in numbers and red ink.
"Maybe you two aren't really studying." Gwen accused us.
Julie sat up, setting the empty tray back on the table as she glare back at Gwen. She defend us. "Wait. Considering all the aliens and weird transformations and stuff you guys deal with, there could be any number of explanations for what you saw."
