Chapter 14~

"Peter!" Ezekiel screams out and glares at me. "Anastasia, you killed both of them." He falls to the ground next to his friend.

"He's just a guard, isn't he?" Conner asks rudely, his arms crossed. Ezekiel gets up his fist raised, but peter's ghost stands in between them.

"Ezekiel, it's all good. No need to avenge me. Take care of my kids, please." Peter disappears just as fast as he came. Ezekiel steps away from Conner and walks out of the house, bumping my shoulder on the way.

"Conner, that was really insensitive. You can't just assume something." Emmeline reprimands him, even though she was just as insensitive to Max. Oh my god! Max and Jackson!

"What happened to Max and Jackson? Does anyone know?" I already knew the answer to it, but then if they were dead so was Amerella.

"No." They all chorused.

"Then we go there next?" Ezekiel questions his fists clenching and grinding his teeth.

"What's wrong Ezekiel?" My father asks, noticing Ezekiel is acting a bit strange. I put my hand on his forearm, but he flinches away growling.

"Is this what I think it is?" Ezekiel nods his head and teleports leaving the rest of them confused. I didn't know that happened when he had urges to kill. It's horrible what his father made him into, then again I mean my father kind of had the same thing happen to him.

"Moving on to the dungeons?" I switch subjects and act like nothing had just happened. Conner shrugs and heads out, we immediately make sure everyone in our little group is okay. My father tells us the ones he saved are at a neighboring territory, though he never thought to check the dungeons. After a while we finally made it back to our collapsing home. We all run towards the back of the home hoping for the dungeons are still intact, but we all know it's most unlikely. Turning into the dungeon area, I notice the bookshelf has been thrown from its position and the door that hadn't been replaced is totally torn off. They didn't have to do that, they still could've gotten through. I step over the crumpled door, and my father just raises an eyebrow. Conner just kicks the door which results in him crying over his toe hurting. We reach the area where Amerella was held, and blood is pooling from the cell. I stare at her limp body. I look up towards the back of the wall and see Amerella crying with her head in her hands.

"Rella? No, no, no, no. I can save you. You all just need to get out of the vicinity. Maybe it will kill a guard or something." I fall to the ground putting my hands on the bars my skin burning from the wolfs bane, but I barely notice. I feel arms wrap around me, but I thrash around hitting them and crawling back towards her.

"Keys! Get me the keys! I need to get closer to her, I can help her!" I yell out in my alpha voice, Conner immediately obeys and grabs the keys from one of the many dead bodies in the room, mostly including members from my pack. Everything feels numb like I don't understand what's going on. Conner open the cell and I turn around tp thank him and see all the souls of the others moving around staring at me. Amerella is staring at me with heartbroken eyes. I pick up her body and hold her close, not caring if blood gets on me. I let out all the feelings I've held in since my parent's death. Well my mother's death. I sob once again, but this time it's much more violent and hysteric. I sob for my pack members feeling the pain of the connection breaking, I cry for Ezekiel's horrible problem, for Amerella, and finally for my mother. I grew up with the woman limp in my arms.

"Amerella, I can save you." I back up and hold out my hands mustering up all the energy I have left, waiting for the blinding white light. At that moment I didn't care who died, I only cared about her. Basically she was my mother and best friend, I didn't want her to die, I couldn't let her die. I throw my hands out once again small sparks appear, but other than that nothing happens.
