THIS TOOK WAY LONGER THAN IT SHOULD'VE

~~~~~
There were several long moments where no one said anything.  I think we were all shocked at what just happened.
The one who recovered first was Gradient, but before he could say anything, I felt a power surge as the present Mainframe manifested my younger form nearby, holding a hand out as if to summon something.
Gradient reacted far quicker than I'd ever seen him react as he flung his hand out, summoning some kind of nearly-transparent green wall.  Something invisible seemed to smash into the wall, and the unhinged version of the Mainframe growled.
Gradient got up gracefully and pulled up a coding screen, typing and swiping and rearranging.
I yelped in both pain and surprise as Dream and I were flung suddenly through the portal we hadn't known was properly a portal.
Gradient summoned more walls and jumped backwards through the portal.  Cryo quickly closed it, the sound of a blast cutting off.
Dream was partially on top of me, making me huff slightly.  "Geez, you're heavy."
Dream just tched, moving some.  Now we were both lying on the ground.
Gradient and Cryo helped both of us sit up and Gradient tapped the chains, pulling up more coding screens.
Several of them.
I could sense his anxiety, but before I could speak, I felt the chains and shackles disappear.  A few other taps happened before the coding screens dissipated.
And then I got glomped: sitting edition.
I blinked a couple times, still not quite believing I was here.  I then shook my head, focusing.  I managed to switch to my older human form before adjusting Gradient slightly, hugging him just as tightly.
That must've broke something because he started SOBBING.
It broke my heart.  I started murmuring reassurances to him.
Cryo came over and knelt nearby.  "He has been endlessly worried, Eclipse.  The bond...our bonds...were silent.  We both tried calling to you, but there was never a reply.  There were times where we nearly felt it snap and break."
"I know.  It's been 5 months.  I...did almost die.  Fate saved me and kept me alive.  She said it's about 3 weeks until Gradient is ready."
"2 weeks."
"Hm.  So a week passed from her saying that and my awakening..."  I muttered, rubbing Gradient's back.
Gradient just kept crying and clinging to me as if I'd disappear if he let go.  I didn't blame him.
"Not to break up whatever...this is, but did one of you block my magic?"  Dream grumbled, standing off to the side.
"Gradient did.  No offense, guardian, but we cannot risk any hostility when Gradient's coding abilities are the only way to save the omniverse."
"Y-You...never...never responded..."  Gradient whimpered, barely able to speak through his crying.  I'd never seen him so emotional.
I laid my chin gently on his head.  "I'm sorry.  Fate mentioned my soul nearly shattered.  I can't imagine the spaces between multiverses is very safe for any kind of soul...  That's probably why I never noticed your pulls."
"P-Please...don't do that again..."
"I can promise I will do my damnedest to never let that happen again.  The omniverse needs both of us."
