We emerged from the portal into a sort of field with a lone cabin. Error glanced around momentarily before entering. We all continued following.
The cabin was cozy. It had a couple of other rooms that I assumed were bedrooms, probably.
Nightmare spoke softly. "You're on the verge of a breakdown."
I glanced over in surprise before realizing who I was talking to. I grinned shakily, trying super hard to push the breakdown away. "I..."
"You can sit on the couch, if you'd like." He continued.
My gaze traveled to the simple couch they had. I slowly walked over, sitting gingerly.
Nightmare unsummoned his staff, studying me curiously. "You have tendrils of liquid negativity."
I nodded mutely.
"How?"
I opened my mouth to reply, but all that came out was a small hiccup. I quickly shut my mouth again, hugging myself tighter.
Nightmare sat beside me. "You're okay. Did Dream do anything to you other than the damper?"
I swallowed thickly again. "J-Just scared me...I'm not...used to someone...like him."
"Can you explain why you think we can't get you home?"
I took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. I pushed the panic attack deep down, trying to focus. "Check me."
This startled the group around me. "Why?" Cross asked.
"I can start the explanation there." I said softly.
They were quiet for a moment before doing a check.
Eclipse ATK 7346 DEF 918 (MV#01)
*Please help her
*Don't let them die
Nightmare flinched. "I-I've never seen stats so high..."
"My stats aren't entirely decipherable, but I don't think even DREAM has stats like that. How the hell...?"
"What's MV#01?" Cross asked, sounding suspicious.
"I would assume it means Multiverse number 1." I replied, keeping my gaze on the floor.
"Multiverse number 1?" Nightmare repeated, confusion prominent in his emotions.
I took several shaky breaths. "That is what my multiverse is called."
"Your multiverse?"
I closed my eyes. "You cannot get me home because I am from a different multiverse."
"Other multiverses exist??" Cross exclaimed.
I nodded. "Yes. And mine is dying."
"So you fled here?"
I shook my head. "No. I did not flee. I came seeking help."
"How in the hell could we help??" Nightmare asked.
I opened my eyes again, turning my working eye towards him. "Specifically, I need YOUR help, Nightmare."
Nightmare spluttered a bit. "M-Me?? I'm not exactly capable of fixing a whole MULTIVERSE."
I smiled sadly. "You are, actually, in this case. There's a lot to explain, but...uh, my friends may be more able to explain."
"But you have a bond damper. How could you get your friends, who I assume are in your multiverse, to explain?"
